Re: Fantasy Football Advice Topic
If I shopped Marshawn Lynch and AJ Green, how far up the elite fantasy guy scale could I realistically go? And would it be a good idea?
I'm thin at RB, but I have Arian Foster and the next guy up would be Mark Ingram.
I'm solid at WR, along with Green I have Maclin, Roddy White, Brandin Cooks, and I'm still stashing Josh Gordon.
Could I get a Forte type of guy(PPR league) and if so, should I?

Re: Fantasy Football Advice Topic
Or would I be better off offering a guy who has Giovanny Bernard, Andre Ellington and LeSean McCoy to trade 1 of them straight up for AJ Green?(He's extremely thin at WR and I hear he's pretty desperate to get one)

The numbers he's putting up or just silly.nick wrote:forte has a good chance of leading the nfl in receptions this yr. dudes such a monster
I'm gonna put trade feelers out on both of my suggestions in both posts. I already put it out there for Lynch/Green for Forte, and the guy is very intrigued, said he'll get back to me tonight or tomorrow, which is good, gives me time to try and contact the other guy as well with Ellington/Bernard/McCoy

Denied on getting Forte!
Re: Fantasy Football Advice Topic
In my auction league I managed to get Rivers as my backup QB for $2 (Brees starter). I shopped Brees knowing I could keep Rivers for next season (Cost being what he was drafted for + $5, so $7 for Rivers next season).
Was weak at WR so I targeted Nelson (was kept this season for $20, so $25 next season). Guy wanted more, so I threw in RB Hyde and he added Doug Martin. The trade was 3 weeks ago, and I gotta admit, I had no idea how bad Martin has been. I almost to the point of just putting him on waivers to pick up a guy like Riddick

Going to be a bad week.....
Rodgers, Forte, Tate, Bennett, Crosby, and Detroit D on bye. RB choices this week are Hillman, Mason, and McKinnon.

Hillman has scored some solid points in the past few weeks. Who needs Monte Ball?

I know there's not exactly much news that could come out, but anyone hearing anything at all on Josh Gordon?DRiccio21 wrote:if you can get Forte, i would.

I still have him and the guy that declined giving me Forte for Lynch and AJ Green just told me if I threw in Gordon, he may pull the trigger. Getting Forte may supercede everything else, but it would leave me with Maclin/Roddy White/Brandin Cooks/Terrance Williams at WR.

Re: Fantasy Football Advice Topic
That part I knew, I was just wondering if there were any newer rumblings. I know I heard early on that there were rumors CLE may just not play him at all all season. I was wondering about something like that, though I'm sure if they're in the playoff hunt, he'll be right out there.DRiccio21 wrote:he comes back week 12 i think.
Either way, tough call on the trade, Forte is insane, that just may be a lot to give up.
Re: Fantasy Football Advice Topic
i'd probably do it.
i always want the best player in small leagues.

I understand with your time crunch lately if not interested or even have a moment to guide us, but I want to get this going this week possibly.ReignOnU wrote:I'm not sure if I'd be up for a big venture into it... but let me think it over. I'll check out DK's latest game setup and see if there are any easy loopholes in it.
As for the sites... I was the same way Shel. I don't touch them from the office, only because I don't want any question about it. I'm sure it would be fine, but no need to risk it.
Excel work could be a lot easier now that Basketball Monster automatically does a lot of what I did.
Another thing on DK... I used to hate their site. I'd do the Basketball Monster deal, play a few games and withdraw the money, then go deposit it on Fan Duel, or maybe another site. FD is daily fantasy sports equivalent of Party Poker... all kinds of idiots that have no idea what they are doing.
A nice little orientation would be great but will also take a quick bullet point of where to even start. All this free time I have inherited plus nba fever I think this will be pretty fun.
If you can't or not interested, I understand. Just let me know.
Re: Fantasy Football Advice Topic
A guy offered me Alfred Morris for AJ Green. I am 6-3 and should be a playoff team.
My team assuming no byes
R. Wilson
M. Forte
C. Ivory
Brandon Marshall
AJ Green
M. Sanu or P. Harvin
J. Graham
S. Gostkowski
DENVER
I also have Josh Gordon on my team starting week 12 and Percy Harvin so I do have an "extra" WR to cover an injury.
Do I move Green to upgrade my RB2 from Ivory to Morris? This is an auction keeper league where you can only keep a guy for one year at his drafted salary and you can only keep 2 guys each year. For next year I could keep Marshall ($53), Green ($53), Gordon ($6) which is a definite keeper, Morris is ($36). The word is Green is going to play through the pain each week which kind of helps Sanu as in theory the CB1 would be covering Green. Sanu the #10 WR in our league now, ofcourse without Green playing until last week.
Thoughts?

Did the same. Hoping it works out. They said the NFLPA wanted an expedited decision so hopefully we'll know soon enough.
