if they all had the same reaction and there was clearly a threat, its somewhat understandable. the act is not defendable. the girl had her back to him when he swung. that alone is enough... he could have grabbed her, he could have tackled her even.... to just whale off on her is not defendable. its also not his job.

Why would any other cop have his reaction IF he was the only one sprayed at the time? That doesn't make sense.

she could have bent over and shit in her hand and rubbed it in his face and it doesn't make it any different.

the cop's JOB, his responsibility, his OATH is to protect and serve. he isn't there to start cold cocking people unless it's a direct threat on him.

he's trained to be responsible and to detain the lady if she is breaking laws. not to punch her cause she pissed him off or sprayed him with water.

she's walking away from him with her hands down and he smashed her from the side/behind.

its also pretty clear, but i'll pretend that maybe something else happened, that the cop is reacting to the water the guy in the back flung on him. if that's not what he's reacting to then its a pretty big coincidence.

Got pulled over today doing 43 in a 25 (thought it was a 35) with an expired license. Was very polite, had all my paperwork ready for him by the time he got to me, and made sure to mention that I was coming from work with the browns a few times . He let me off with a warning. Sometimes they're not that bad!

Looks like about once per year.

Last one was about 4 months ago on the way to work. 51 in a 40.work badge, got out of it.
