Did another new install and tried the new files; got the same result. So I guess I'm out.

I don't doubt you're doing this right, I just don't get how its possible.

i'm no computer whiz. but if the file is working for others wouldn't the only issue be if you had some corrupted file somewhere on your system? again, I know you know this i'm just thinking outloud in my very limited computer knowledge.

we definitely don't want to lose you... I hope we get this figured out

Be sure you are deleting all of your files, folders, etc. and empty your recycle bin before you try re-installing.
Then, as Reign posted, give us the error you are getting, we can search OOTP forums or reach out to them and ask for help for you.

Also, are you using a shortcut on your desktop? If so, delete it, you can create a new one after the install.

make sure your accounts.dat. file is not a duplicate. I think u mentioned in another post you had it loaded and then at the very last moment an error message. I believe that is a result of a duplicate accounts file.

Yeah, Ry... that's why I mentioned that I updated that file too. Normally, if you can get that far, then the accounts file has something to do with it. (naming/dup etc)

I've been doing a complete uninstall; unlicensing my OOTP, deleting the old files and everything. Then I download and install OOTP, input my license number, and then run the patch updater. Then I put in all the NDL files. The game starts up fine. Last night I loaded the NDL league, downloaded the new file just fine, and then when I tried to go to the DL for my team I get a message that says "This program has stopped working and is shutting down" or something close to that. That's exactly the same thing that's happened pretty much every other time. It may be my computer. It could be OOTP. I don't know.

That is pretty strange that it's always happening at the same point. What menu are you navigating to, to go to the DL? Are you clicking your team name -> organization overview... or using something else?

I was able to navigate to both the org overview and dl section on my game for your squad. Has to be something local. Maybe other programs running? I know OOTP is a real resource hog.

I've been thinking that it was something on my computer. I really, really don't want to go through the process of wiping the slate clean and rebooting everything on my computer. If anyone knows of any simpler solutions I'd love to hear them.

Cant Reign or someone use LogMeIn or Remote Desktop and log into your computer and see it directly to possibly give it a whirl?

I know Pino has done this before for me in the past.

Just another option

I was just going to suggest this.
I may have time later today.
I am heading to Pittsburgh around noon today and should be there by 2:30 ish.
I should have some time late afternoon or evening ish to try and help.

I recommend teamviewer. It is free to download.
http://www.teamviewer.com/en/index.aspx ... 4Aod11oAUw

Download that and then when we have time, I can get into your machine and we can take a look and see if we can figure anything out.

My computer is off right now and my son has a basketball game in Indy tonight so I doubt I'll be around to do anything with it. Depending on how they do tonight tomorrow might be tough also.

Thankfully, roster expansion is finally here. It seems like I've been getting a new injury every week. This time around it was German with the setback and it looks like Espinoza got dinged. Good news is, it hasn't been anything like 3-4 months or more. Now I can get some scrubs in the games to limit the risk.
