Wasted Memory wrote:Option 2 (72 hour advance) becomes pointless in light of there being 17 weeks instead of the 16 I originally though there were. Advancing every 72 hours would put us on Week 15 on Feb 15th. Then you have to sit there until the 23rd (with likely only one or two teams scheduled to play a game). If those users can be done by the evening of the 16th I could advance us to CC week.

I may need to look at the schedule for everyone when I get home. Maybe we get lucky and there is a week with only one or two users playing. Then we can MAYBE get through that week in a 24 hour period????
I'm fine with whatever you guys decide - I can play fast enough for whatever advance schedule you decide and am cool w/ just waiting too HOWEVER - just FYI I will be out of town (Vegas conference - work this time, not play) from Feb 24th - Feb 26th. I will play whatever is available on the eve of the 23rd and can play ASAP on the eve of the 26th so I don't miss any post-season games (currently ranked #2, so would rather not miss those.)
NDL Record 49-4 (4-0 Bowls)

S 26 - Georgia 11-2 - Outback Bowl Champs
S 27 - Wake Forest 13-1 - ACC Champs - BCS Orange Bowl Champs - NDL Cup Champs
S 28 - Texas 13-0 - Big XII Champs - BCS National Champs

Here's what I think I'm going to do. To be honest, I really think this OD is starting to wane in interest for some. With that said, I'm speeding it up, getting us to the end of the season so people can get new teams and hopefully we'll see some renewed interest in this OD with new teams for everyone.

Most users have 4 games left to play. That includes CC's and Bowls. We have 3 regular season weeks left, CC Week, and Bowl Week. Here's the new advance schedule.

Advance to Week 13 - SATURDAY MORNING
Advance to Week 14 - SUNDAY MORNING
Advance to Week 15 - MONDAY MORNING
Advance to CC Week - WEDNESDAY MORNING (1 projected User vs User game)
Advance to Bowl Week - FRIDAY MORNING

Basically, a 24 hour advance rate during the weekends and a 48 hour advance during the weekdays. With any luck we'll hit the coach carousel sometime Saturday so everyone can have a new team ready to go. I know that speeds things up quite a bit, but considering we're only playing offense these games shouldn't take much time out of your day. If people get done quicker we'll advance quicker.

This puts the season ending on February 15th.

Once we're on the new season we'll slow it back down a tad.

Hey Buffalo, post if you have free time today. Going to be a tight window to get this in.

I'm out until 3 pm EST, should be free for some time after that and then out again around 9 pm EST.

Rats, I didn't realize there were any user games. Thought we'd be avoiding that until CC Week. Make sure you guys post in here for this. If you cannot get a time worked out today I'll extend the advance until later tomorrow to allow you time to get it in.

I'll go ahead and advance us as normal. But you're all just going to be stuck on whatever week we are on when I leave for vacation. I will not be handing this one over to another commish to run while I'm gone.

Well good morning to you too, dick!

I just played my game vs. Idaho and pulled ALL of my starters in the 2nd quarter when it was 56-0

I just could not get off the field! I ended up simming the entire 4th quarter only to see my team put up an extra 17 points lol... so, sorry for the crazy score.

No need for any one person to feel I didn't put stats up because of them. It's a cumulative thing.
