Southwest Airlines has posted their fares
Southwest Airlines has posted their fares
Well, I was hoping the fares would continue to drop, but they haven't....at least with my options. All the times I've been out there, the best deal has come from going with a S.W. vacation package, rather than booking a flight separate from the hotel. But that's not the case this time (from my early research).
Right now, it looks like a non-stop SW flight would be $280 for me and then room rates would be: $69 - $75 - $35 for a Deluxe at IP. Split that with someone and it would be less expensive than going the vaca package route, from what I figure.
So now I'm intrigued to see if Feisty can make another push for some better hotel prices from his "connection"!

Re: Southwest Airlines has posted their fares
Southwest from Orlando, Vegas prices:
Departing Flights:
645a (1 stop) on Thursday 10/1 arrive at 10:30a--$119
1125a (nonstop)on Thursday 10/1 arrive at 1:25p--$169
Returning:
100p (nonstop) on Sunday 10/4 arrive at 8:30p--$169
Total with fees, tax, and all that good stuff:$359.20(non stop flights selected)--$319.80 (cheapest of the cheap way)
US Air Prices from Orlando to Vegas
Departing Flights
830a (nonstop) on Thursday 10/1 arrive at 10:32a--$119
Returning Flights
4:20p (nonstop) on Sunday 10/4 arrive at 11:30p--$169
Total with tax, fees, and all that other greatness: $309.20
Both airlines about the same price after you add in US Air bag fee of $15. Would prefer Southwest nonstops due to comfort and times I guess but US Air is more time in Vegas.
Just wanted to start getting some numbers out there for us to consider. I hope they dont run out of seats but its silly to book so early. Tough call boys, tough call.

Judging by the posts on this section, the convention isn't looking so hot, lol.
I'm calling 15 or less NDLers at the convention. You heard it here first.

Im going to book between 90 days and 60 days out. So starting on July 4th I'll be "looking" and playing the game of risk to see if prices go up or down or if I can catch a sub $250-260 deal. If nothing is jumpable, I'll book on 8/4

F that.
Ill most likely book separate then depending on what AJ is thinking. No drive for me taking away from my Vegas time.
I guess we will see from there since AJ refuses to check this thread.
