Did the best I could on the conference's. WAC went down to 4 teams and then wouldn't let me move any more. Unfortunately I needed to move Texas State to the Sun Belt. Since we do have a user in the Sun Belt I moved UTSA, which is supposed to go to C-USA (no one in C-USA) to the WAC and then Texas State to Sun Belt. Also couldn't find any info on how the the new conferences and their members would be organized in divisions so I just left it the way the AI put it. Asked for rivals for some of the new moves. Rutgers - you got Boise State, Houston - you got UCF.

PRESEASON IS UP. I WILL ADVANCE TOMORROW AFTER WORK!!!

Season will start on TUESDAY

Please make sure you guys are looking at PAGE 1 for the slider settings

Someone just pointed out to me that there is another post in this thread regarding the sliders. Page 1 is what is in place.

Right now everyone except Baylor has a Week 1 game. Niddler, trying like hell to give you a week 1 game but the cpu is just not cooperating at all.

Whatever you do is fine with me. If i need a week 1 bye, oh well.
As far as sliders, are those something we have to set individually or do you set them for the OD?

I set them for the entire OD.

I'm going to look at your schedule one more time when I get home and see if I can finagle something. The problem is when I go to Week 1 to put something in it will give me that "12 Games Already Scheduled", so then I'll go to a scheduled game and try to remove it and it won't give me the option of making it an "Open" week. It's driving me crazy. Yours is the only one that did it.

Alright, Week 1 is up. For Troy, UMass, and Air Force - tried to make your schedules as difficult as possible without making them impossible. With the new sliders I didn't want to see you guys sink. If this is still to easy for you I'll make sure to beef up your schedules more next season.

Let me know.

We will advance every 5 days. Remember, there are no extensions. Get 'em in.

Pretty happy with the sliders so far. I'm at the half and it's a 9-7 game. Finally the CPU plays some D. There's been a few penalties which is fine with me, but they can be aggravating when they're called. Been even between me and the computer.

Man. I thought this was fun. Yes, the penalties were aggravating and always seemed to come at the worse possible time...hmm, just like real football. There was no running away from the CPU in this game (granted I was playing an even team). Have to play smarter, stupid mistakes will cost you.

TTU had me by 8 in the 4th. Scored a TD and 2 pt conversion with 1:00 left. Took double OT to win the game.

Things I took note of you guys might want to consider. Blitz alot and you're going to get called for roughing the passer eventually, and maybe a lot. When going to tackle hold the square button. Don't push and release. Seems like the face mask penalties came every time I pressed and released.

Let me know what you guys think. My prediction, none of us go undefeated. Maybe none of us have less than 2 losses. No one plays in the NC this season.

Well here are my thoughts

Was barley into 2nd quarter

Had 8 ints's 4 were ran back for TD's, As i cant even drop back to pass without the D-line just blowing my QB up and the DE picking the ball off just floating in the air.

I had -30 rushing yards

CPU's QB was like Ron Dayne, Pick pass plays then just take off, Had 6 broken tackles and over 120 yards rushing on what were all pass plays to begin with.

I dont understand how a guy with 98 speed at WR cant even break free from a DB, that is a 75 overall with 89 speed.

So needless to say with the score at 63-7 with 6 mins left in 2nd quarter i gave up. Im all up for a challenge, But this is a lil extreme

I'll go in a make a few minor adjustments to pass and run blocking for Human. I'd like more input from everyone else before we do a major over haul though.

Without a doubt these settings are more difficult. But at the same time I'm not interested in a dynasty where I come in and blow out all of my opponents either. Once the rest of you guys play your games please post your thoughts here and what you'd like to see changed. I have no intentions of taking these settings back to default though.

I am with you on enjoying it when it is harder.
Seasons like our first are boring to me. I like when it is a challenge.
It helps you get better at the game. You learn to make better reads and be a better runner.

Just my opinion. I don't have a game this week, so I have to wait until week 2 to give my input on the sliders.

Some feedback from my game. And mind you I was playing New Mexico so I should win no matter what difficulty we are playing on. I found it difficult to run the ball, passing was good. No facemask penalties all game, tons of holding. 8 penalties for me, 7 for them. 3 of my 4 kickoff returns were called back, 1 of them was a touchdown. Ironically the 1 that wasn't was also a TD. I won 31-14 against a D rated team, won't be as nice playing Oregon and USC later on.

Only been a couple of us that have played our game this week. I'm taking into account what has been said so far. Would like to hear what daw and Sudden have to say about the settings. When I get home this afternoon I'm going to play some scrims against the cpu and see how it goes. One thing I'm going to look into is keeping the same settings but lowering the Skill Level from Heisman to All American. I'm also going to be trying it out keeping it on Heisman but raising the sliders on pass block, run block and tackling.

I want everyone to keep in mind that I don't want an OD where we come in and beat up on the AI. Sure, it's fun to win, but it gets old when there is no challenge. I want a league where we are challenged and it actually means something to make it to the CC & NC games.

Now, with that said if we end up liking these original settings, we could consider leaving our current schools and going to better schools so we are at least on a more even keel with the AI when we play teams like Oregon, Bama, Oklahoma, etc.

I got way to many holding calls
The CPU got alot of roughing the passer calls
CPU AI on defense was nasty or either it was the Blocking AI for my team but it was letting most of there team come untouched espically there impact MLB.
My kicker who has 70-70 was missing extra point kicks with a full bar right up the middle...I mean he was not even making it to the bar distance wise and kicking to the corner of the endzone as far as left and right goes that really blew my mind. I sent you that on aim that night guess you forgot
