Add the context that makes mikeys or the blonde lady's statements any better
There is no way to keep them distanced, there is no assurance that kids will do what they are supposed to. What if 10 teachers decide they have too much risk going to school and potentially getting COVID? In the 20 years I've been teaching there have been 3 or 4 kids that have died while in school and all of them were accidents except one cancer. We have 870 students at my school, they are predicting a death rate is .01%GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 2:21 pm honest question to the teachers of the group.
Why not reopen if everyone is wearing masks? I know you are not going to get kids with special needs to wear them and even the younger kids. But why not junior high and high school aged kids. If all of them and all of the teachers are wearing masks, why are we not sending them back to class?
I'm guessing that you don't teach math.cougnix wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 3:05 pmThere is no way to keep them distanced, there is no assurance that kids will do what they are supposed to. .01% of 870 is almost 9 kids. Is that acceptable?
Everything that has been done and is being done is to slow the spread so it doesn't overwhelm the healthcare system. Masks alone won't slow the spread fast enough at this point in alot of states to save their healthcare systems if they continue on their current trajectory thus why shutdowns are being talked about again. I don't understand what's so complicated about this concept.GeorgesGoons wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 2:42 pmThis is where your simple mindedness gets in the way. The media and doctors says we all need to wear masks to stop the spread. If EVERYONE is wearing masks in school then there should be no reason for them not to go to school. This is why most people aren't on board with the whole mask thing. We are being told to wear a mask to stop the spread but still want everything shutdown. What is the purpose of everything being shut down if masks are being worn?
I think we would wear masks and the complaining greatly stifled if we had any semblance of a coherent strategy on a national level that was able to drown out all the vodoo doctors on social media but unfortunately that doesn't seem to be in the cards.nick wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 3:28 pm I also love how naive George is like Americans will wear masks. Like they haven’t bitched and complained this whole entire time. Good luck getting Karen’s to get their little loser kids to wear masks. And teenagers in high school? Lmao good luck.
Simple minded George. Lives in some rural fairy tale and never actually lived in a real city.
Right or wrong, that went out the window the moment Fauci dropped the ball and he lied to Americans(later admitted to lying) when he told Americans not to wear masks because they won't help.
Lol, I actually did and didn't move decimals because I was distracted. He didn't fuck up with respect to knowledge of the disease.
Gonna need you to move that decimal again.cougnix wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 4:02 pmLol, I actually did and didn't move decimals because I was distracted. Still 1 kid for every thousand?
I'm no Republican but it's pretty crazy that you're surprised people trust a guy who says one thing one day then the exact opposite the next day less.nick wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 4:10 pm As Mr. Trump and his allies in the conservative media have sown doubt about Dr. Fauci, many Republicans have in fact turned against the doctor. Strange way to say it.nick wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 4:10 pm As Mr. Trump and his allies in the conservative media have sown doubt about Dr. Fauci, many Republicans have in fact turned against the doctor. Other than that time I pointed out early on with COVID how much lower the mortality rate probably actually Fauci was, you told me I was crazy, then I linked you to Fauci saying the same thing I said.
