Team Wasted here.

Some will vote for a restart IF a certain kind of restart is being done.

A restart I am considering is retiring all of Boston’s players and randomize a team for them. I truly don’t see a reason to restart besides Boston being the problem. Ok let’s remove the problem.

I'll again defer to my example of Riccio. Some guys are not interested in losing the history. I understand what you're saying, that it would either be A or B. But those not willing to lose the history may not be willing to take the chance that the vote for keeping history would win after a restart vote had passed.

Maybe, in the poll, if you listed both options that would work but I feel like that's a win for me because now you are deciding the details


Ultimately, I guess, I just don't see what the harm is in deciding the details now versus later. You know how our voting always goes. There will be someone, after the fact, not happy because it wasn't explained the way it is happening.

In either scenario the History will be in tact.

Either in the old file, or in the same file with new players.

Personally I think that is a lot of different options. Anything we can narrow out? Thoughts? Concerns?

Restart would mean starting a new game in OOTP18. Separate from this league. That is where the old file would come in. We would start a completely new saved games file. So when I saw the History would be preserved in the old file I mean the NDL saved games file. Does that make sense?

I'm just not following. If it's a completely new saved game, separate from this league, how do we still have the history? Unless you're saying that the history of this league would still exist, but just isn't intertwined with the new league. If that's the case there is definitely guys that won't be happy with that.

Options:

-Brand new league, restart from the very bottom including initial entire organization draft.
-Keep history, current teams, retire all current players and restart with brand new players
-Contract Boston and randomize that franchise with fictional players
-Change nothing at all and keep moving forward

Those are the 4 options we should go forward with and vote.

In all transparency, I vote option 3 as I feel we aren’t as bad as we are making it out to be, Boston gets removed instantly bringing back life and optimism, and I am 110% ok with that.

My take so far in the discussion.

Absolutely hate option 2 and honestly nixing it is on the table as it is really messy.

I vote not to allow the allowance therefore I am voting against the allowance for not having the ability of disallowing the history of this league

- I'm not overly keen on the restart, but I do agree that if that's the route we go it needs to be in its entirety. Start over from ground zero.

- I can see/understand the draw of retiring all the Boston players and randomizing the team, however, it doesn't resolve some of the other issues that we've encountered over the years. Also, apparently we need to retire Omaha's owner and sooomeone needs some damn money $$$$$. This doesn't solve either of those crises....

point is if we go the "delete Boston" route...someone will then replace him. Not quite at that level....but you following the meaning.

I think an option IF we are going to do anything and if corey is really thinking weakening Boston is the answer, have a draft where everyone gets to pick one boston player.....randomized order....majors/minors...wherever.

We won 2 games off boston last night and neither was "cheap"

he probably should have lost to Richmond.

the sky isn't falling at all IMO and I am saying that with a solid ML team and a minor leagues empty of any real impact players.

Do a poll of whether we should restart or not. Only two options is yes or no. If voted yes then have the two options of complete restart or retire everyone. Ift's voted down go with the Boston option. And work down the list till we have a resolution
