Corey said it perfectly, come up with a set of rules and regulations for going over budget, give teams 5 seasons or so to get in compliance and improve the league. Whining and complaining really doesn't accomplish anything.

Isn't that a bit far fetched in realm of realism? No owner would approve it. If projected revenue was 190 mil there's no way anyone approves 375 mil in expenses.
He didn't make the playoffs, so how does he payroll matter to whether you'll try to make your team better or not?
Seriously, that makes no sense. You just beat Corey who is the most stacked team I have ever seen.
Please tell me how it makes no sense.

This kills 2 things in the league.... Immersion and competitive balance. Corey has built his team, Montreal has bought there's. We praise guys for building a good team, not for blowing over your budget by 200 mil. Kills my interest, that simple. Maybe others will find it challenging to compete against a 350 mil payroll, I on the other hand, won't.

So emotional, just stop buddy. You are here until the end and will be wheeling and dealing in no time. Cast your vote and make the league better.

I already have and it's quite obvious how the league feels. The truth is, we shouldn't have to be taking this to a vote. No-one says a word about going 50 mil or 75 mil over, I've been told countless times being 50 mil in the hole is no big deal, but now we're in uncharted territory. I'll stick to my point. No owner would realistically approve 375 in expenses with a max 203 mil revenue (Alabama at #1). So for the next 5 seasons he takes 175 mil in losses?

The point is he is doing nothing against any rules and this league has completed 35 seasons. Great, people are voting and have spoken and they will pass some rules and keep going. There is no point in getting so mad when someone is following the rules we have in place

Hey guys,

First off let me start by saying that I am disappointed that yet again the people who are complaining the most about this did not even start the thread to put this to a vote. Typical.

I am declining this trade not because Nick or Dusters is crying about it but simply because I do not want to be the cause of something that would potentially hurt the league and its current members.

I have already spoken to Corey and Billy about this and I now the league.

I guess I am confused on how I have 'bought' my team and Dusters hasn't? It has never been my intention to 'cheat' as nick calls it I have just been trying to make the best decisions possible for my team and winning. Let's have some real change come from this instead of the constant crying.

Good luck Billy. Fun talks.

Running at a projected -250 mil is far from the best possible decision for ANY team. Let the trade go, it's being voted on. Just like our contract extension vote and everything else. No rules have been violated as I was told...still don't agree with it, but whatever, I'm 1 guy out of 30

I say since there is no rule this trade should still be processed. I think it sets a precedent that if enough people complain then a trade gets rescinded even when no rules are being broken

Doesn't matter if you think it is fair or not, there are currently no rules here being broken.

And I want to add, I get that in no way will he make enough money to break even or be in the positive, but building a team like he is with this trade, how do any of you know how much playoff revenue he will bring in?

Corey was like -$100 Mil and it took him like 2 seasons and he was out of it and to the positive pretty big too.

Again, didn't you back Trendon during his "cheating" fiasco?
