Coach dietz takes over a UNC program 1-3 in the ACC but starts out right with a big upset of the Hokies smashing um 48-28. Yates had a uge day throwing for 400 yards all while keeping a good run game behind him with a converted FB to HB.
Dietz goal of winning out and getting into the Gator Bowl would be a huge reach for the Heels but thats what they are shooting for!

I need a rule that states my offensive line has to be stronger than paper mache.
Is there some brick wall cheat code I can use?

After I played Texas AM I think that rule should be enforced. Running plays no problem my line blocked like champs but every time I dropped back to pass I was on the move because someone broke free.

The only thing I've found that slows down the pass rush a little is to run several option plays a game, which you can only do with a quick QB, so that won't work for everyone.
I suppose my bad blocking wouldn't be so much of an impact if I played defense, but I let the Super Sim take care of that, which results in giving up about 40 points a game.

Mountaineers lost a heartbreaker to the Bearcats 10-6. Both teams brought their defense and scoring was limited. The offenses moved the ball at times, but the defense ultimately came up with stops when needed. Good game UCWeiser.
BTW, I thought Heastie caught that flag route. I was trying to challenge, but I guess you can't do it when playing a user (thought you could in a dynasty). Regardless, it was a battle and fun as always. Hopefully we'll get to replay this in the NDL next season.

I've got to post about my game with Pitt last night. I think the final score was something like 55-48, with Pitt coming out on top. WVU's defense is rated a B+, but they were hideous last night. I could do nothing to stop Pitt. The only time I slowed them was with two picks, other than that, they scored every possession. I only stayed in with two Devine kickoff returns for a touchdown and his solid running. Every time I passed, I had about 1.5 seconds to throw. The Pitt secondary made two picks where the guy was open but they cut off the route. Just incredible. Despite all this, I had the ball with about a minute and a half left with the game tied. I was driving well, then I threw to Bradley Starks on a slant where he had a step to the inside. However, the tremendous Pitt corner was able to double his speed and pick the ball off. True to form, the Mountaineer defense couldn't stop the Panthers. When Pitt got close and I was out of timeouts, I let them score to try for a miracle. As evidenced by the score, it was unsuccessful.
It was a fun game and exciting to the end. However, the inability to stop anything on defense was frustrating. I pride myself on playing pretty solid defense...I just had no answer last night. I need to do some masterful recruiting in the off season.
As a side note, I can't believe they had WVU lose to Marshall early in the season. Hell will freeze over before that ever happens.

Terps, the way you just described your game last night is the way all 6 of my losses have went this season. But on this day The Colorado Buffaloes stood tall as they won there 6th game of the season to become bowl eligible. It came down to the very last play of the game but we nailed a 43 yarder as time expired.
Side note...
I haven't really paid any attention to the top 25 poll since Colorado has only been ranked once this season, but today I took a look and was surprised to see that the top 5 ranked teams are all undeafeted. Talk about a BCS cluster!!! After week 12 there will only at most be 4 undeafeted teams because Ok St plays the sooners.

That will be interesting to see play out. I will hopefully have the Mountaineers back on track next season. Them losing to Marshall before I took over is almost enough to make me not want to use them, just because of how unrealistic that is (

). However, WVU will be back rolling next season, hopefully with a more competent defense.
