Flying peeps, is it best to wait to get a ticket last minute (mid september) for cheapest flights or is now a good time to get it?

I saw some SW for like $400 which is a little pricey was hoping to get it in the $300 range. Ideas?

Man this is gonna be awesome. I am looking to get there Thursday either morning or night. AJ is gonna check as well since its a school week and he has some things going on.

from a seasoned traveler. the cheapest time buy tickets is almost always 2 months before you leave.

wait until mon-wed, those are the cheapest days to buy.

looking at the fare charts, the cheapest it was was acually a few days ago, when it was just over $300. I would wait a week or two, since its at the max right now.

I usually leave from LA Friday morning around 9ish and then leave Vegas Sunday morning around noon.

I arrive 10:30 am on Thursday Flying out 1pm on Sunday.

Thursday....if they still have the pool open I will be chilling pool side until that afternoon. It may be too late in the year though.

I'll see what. Can find. Sucks but the cheapest fares also come with undesirable times. Like 6am. When I book for work and it's a price sensitive situation I use the all day option sort b cheapest and 6-6:30 are 150-300 cheaper everytime.
