Predict your team's season

How have we not done this yet?

Not gonna lie, I don't have high hopes for Cal this year. After last season's 5-7 season, we have a huge question mark at QB and only have 1 real impact player, WR Keenan Allen. Here is hoping for a good season but I don't think we'll be that good.

vs. Fresno State- Loss, never look forward to Fresno State
@ Colorado- Win, they seem like the worse team in the Pac 12
vs. Presbyterian- Win, only game I am sure about haha
@ Washington- Win, I think they're gonna have a down year
@ Oregon- Loss, not a shocker
vs. USC- Loss, we never beat them
vs. Utah- Loss, I hear they are gonna be good
@ UCLA- Win, we seem to really have great games vs UCLA
vs. Washington State- Win, home game, should win
vs. Oregon State- Loss, we never beat them either
@ Stanford- Loss, Luck will crush us
@ Arizona State- Loss, they are getting huge coverage

Conference misses- Arizona, Colorado (play them OOC)

Final tally- 5-7.

I would be ok with 5-7 if we are competitve in most games. Not like last year with 5 of our 7 losses were by 35+ points and over by the 2nd quarter. Hell, last year 8 of 12 games last year for Cal were decided by 20+.

I do think we will go 6-6 if Arizona State decides to lay an egg on the season and suck. They are more prone to giving up on a season than us.

Indiana will only be playing 2 games this year. They'll be kicked out of the NCAA after breaking the 35 point rule against UVA in the second game of the season.

UConn

vs Fordham -- W
@ Vandy -- toss up
vs Iowa St -- W
@ Buffalo -- W
vs W. Michigan -- W
@ WVU -- L
vs USF -- toss up
@ Pitt -- L
vs Syracuse -- toss up
vs Louisville -- toss up
vs Rutgers -- W
@ Cincy -- L

final record -- i'll go with 6-6. team returns a ton of talent on defense but we don't have a qb on the roster thats ever taken a snap under center, no estabslished rushing threat for the first time in what seems like forever, a new head coach, a new offensive coordinator and a new defensive coordinator. thats alot to overcome and i'm expecting a lot of growing pains

Indiana Hoosiers
Sept. 3, 2011 at Ball State - Win, somewhere in the 45-13 range
Sept. 10, 2011 Virginia - This is a crucial game and in Bloomington it's a true toss-up. It gives an honest indicator of where the new look Hoosiers are and also could eventually spell the difference between a bowl and no-bowl
Sept. 17, 2011 South Carolina St. - Win, 42-10 or so
Sept. 24, 2011 at North Texas - A sneaky tough road game against a team that with a new coach and will surely be jacked up about a BCS conference opponent in their stadium but IU wins 31-20
Oct. 1, 2011 Penn State - IU usually competes well against Penn State in Bloomington but this is a loss
Oct. 8, 2011 Illinois - Toss up but I'm going with a 27-21 win for IU
Oct. 15, 2011 at Wisconsin - Ugh
Oct. 22, 2011 at Iowa - IU was a dropped TD pass from winning this one last year and almost always plays Iowa tough regardless of where it is. I'm going with IU getting a breakthrough conference win for Kevin Wilson
Oct. 29, 2011 Northwestern - Two teams that are very similar talent wise but in the past Northwestern has had vastly superior coaching. I think IU pulls this one out.
Nov. 5, 2011 at Ohio State - I really don't buy the suspensions and coaching upheaval as meaning OSU will have some kind of precipitous fall this year. That's still a hugely talented program and team. So yeah, IU competes for a while but loses big.
Nov. 19, 2011 at Michigan State - Tough running teams are usually the Hoosiers' downfall. This one will be no different.
Nov. 26, 2011 Purdue - W and the Hoosiers keep the bucket for a second year.

Best case scenario: 7-5
Worst case scenario: 4-8
Actual expected outcome: 6-6

I think this is the kind of year the Gators will be going into the Florida State game with a humble record of 7-4 and beat a Florida State team that is in the hunt for the championship. Or I see the Gators surprising everyone and winning the SEC East at least.

Auburn

Sept. 3 UTAH STATE
Sept. 10 MISSISSIPPI STATE
Sept. 17 at Clemson
Sept. 24 FLORIDA ATLANTIC
Oct. 1 at South Carolina
Oct. 8 at Arkansas
Oct. 15 FLORIDA
Oct. 22 at LSU
Oct. 29 OLE MISS
Nov. 12 at Georgia
Nov. 19 SAMFORD [HC]
Nov. 26 ALABAMA

I could see us going anywhere from 7-5 to 10-2. It will all come down to QB Barrett Trotter and the defense. The defense actually should be better. If T'sharvan Bell stays healthy and Neiko Thorpe works out in his move to safety, the secondary should be about 100 times better than last season. There is a ton of talent on this team on both sides of the ball. Problem is they are all Jrs. and Sos. There are 7 seniors on the entire depth chart and only 4 start. The whole season really depends on maturity. 8-4 is the most likely, 9 or 10 wins would be amazing. Road schedule is KILLER and is going to be a problem. I think we get 3 losses there, lose one at home.

Where the hell do you see 8 wins there?
I see 6 max, you beat the 3 OOC cupcakes, should beat Ole Miss, then who?

Date Opponent
09/03/11 vs. Indiana State - WIN - Cupcakes, yum.
09/10/11 vs. Alabama - LOSS - Entering this game with the same issue as last season, no starting QB decided... and it's @ Bama. Screwed.
09/17/11 at Temple - WIN - A nice little dessert.
09/24/11 vs. Eastern Michigan - WIN - What's better than 2 cupcakes? 3! YES!
10/01/11 at Indiana - WIN - Nom nom nom nom.
10/08/11 vs. Iowa - WIN - If this was @ Iowa, I'd say loss.
10/15/11 vs. Purdue - WIN - Purdue is just not very good.
10/22/11 at Northwestern - WIN - This is going to be a VERY close game.
10/29/11 vs. Illinois - WIN - Improving team, just not ready to compete with PSU yet.
11/12/11 vs. Nebraska - WIN - This will be the biggest win of the season for PSU.
11/19/11 at Ohio State - LOSS - OSU will finish their season strong.
11/26/11 at Wisconsin - LOSS - PSU finishes the season where they started, with a QB controversy and lots of questions about next season.

Final Record: 9-3 (margin of error - 1 game, Iowa/OSU)

LSU takes their #4 ranking and turns it into an 8-4 type season.

I haven't exactly looked at other teams' schedules, but I have to think LSU has the toughest in the nation. 7 preseason top 25 teams.

Hell, 3 of our first 4 games are against top 25 teams, none are home games.

I think we beat clemson, miss st., uf, and surprise one more, maybe UGA. Like I said there is talent on this team, whether you want to acknowledge it or not. May not have the best individual players on both sides of the ball this season, but there is more talent at the other positions this time around. You don't think there is any chance Auburn can beat teams like clemson, ms st., florida, uga, south carolina? No chance whatsoever? they are just gonna get blown out and lose by 20 every game? I mean you are talking like Auburn is a bunch of poorly coached, no talent ass clowns. Simply not the case.

William and Mary - probably the best team we will face but still a W
Indiana - I enjoy these stress free wins
UNC - Do they even have a coach?
Southern Miss - Not even Brett Favre could save them
Idaho - On par with IU
Georgia Tech - No more cut bocks for you!
NC State - about time these assclowns were back on the schedule.
Miami - even the worst UVA teams own Miami
Maryland - Guido's can't ball
Duke - Dak and the 4 other Duke football fans will weep
FSU - Nole heading to the beach!
VT - assholes

Just like last year right?

Offseason losses -
RB - LeShoure
DT - Leguit
LB - Wilson

Vs. Arkansas State - Win - The season opener we have always dreamed off. No more losing to Missouri.
Vs. South Dakota State - Win - Should be able to get the rushing game going
Vs. Arizona State - Loss - Our big non-conference game, hopefully its a tight one but I am not ready to believe
Vs. Western Michigan - Win - Bounce back game ahead of B10 network
Vs. Northwestern - Win - We rushed for over 350 yards on them last year
@ Indiana - Win - Beat them 43-13 last year. Dont think they have done enough to warrant a 30 point swing
Vs. Ohio State - Loss - Although we have enjoyed moderate success against them, its still OSU
Vs. Purdue - Win - They have lost a ton of starters to injuries and it was a 44-10 win for us last year
Vs. Penn State - Loss - no comment
Vs. Michigan - Loss - Won 2 out of the last 3. Thinking things change this year.
Vs Wisconsin - Loss - They are just a better program
Vs. Minnesota - Win - They are a much worse program

Final record: 7-5

What is with all of this Noles championship talk?? Its like the Nole fans were lovable when they were losing. They have a solid season last year, get a lofty undeserved pre-season ranking, and now they have turned into Gator type fans.

9-3 at best,blee dat.

I have no clue who is even suiting up for Miami this year so Ill throw my dart and go with 8-4,but we beat FSU. :P
