2020 - Season (Congrats PO!)

Here is the master thread for this season. Below is the information to get your games up to date.

There are 2 ways to get your games to the correct file.

Option A - (MOST CURRENT MANAGERS)
Just import the new file. Do a quick export to test it. If it doesn't work, go to Option B.


Option B - (NEW MANAGERS AND MANAGERS WITH ISSUES)
1.) Delete any old files. They will be located in user/documents/Out of the Park Developments/OOTP 13/Saved_Games folder. They will have a .lg extension.
2.) Create a folder in the Saved_Games folder called NDL.lg
3.) Download the new league file: http://ndlootp.com/game/Other_Data/NDL.tar.gz
4.) Extract the NDL.tar.gz file into the NDL.lg folder. (you may need a program such as WinZip/WinRaR to do this.
5.) Look in the NDL.lg folder, if there is a settings folder, continue to step 6. If not, create a folder called: settings
6.) Download the GM Account Access file: http://ndlootp.com/game/Other_Data/accountsdata_gms.dat
7.) Place the accountsdata_gms.dat file into the settings folder.
8.) Open OOTP, select the NDL league. Try to export via FTP.

Welcome to the 2020 Season.

Congrats to AJ on an awesome 2019.

The file is now up and available for everyone to import or get setup.

WHAT'S CHANGED?

- 3 New Owners (Whitt, Beefy and Sammy) - Welcome aboard!
- 2 New Teams transferred from the USBL (San Diego Snipers and Indianapolis Racers)
- 3 Teams have relocated (Dallas Drillers, Hawaii Five-0, Atlanta Aliens)
- Leagues have been realigned
- Conference Structure has been changed to 3 divisions each
- Playoffs have been changed to include 6 teams per league
- USBL has been removed and all players retired

The new file is up, emails have been sent, next sim is SUNDAY 8AM.

When you look at this file, disregard the manager announcement emails, as they are correct now.

This sim you should be exercising Team Options via your mail; FA is open, even though there isn't much out there right now, and just browsing around. You can always look at the league schedule if you're curious about any major events. I've added some tips in through out to help you along.

Bear will be handling this seasons Stadium Expansion and should be opening a thread on that soon. You have a very limited time to make this decision, don't miss your opportunity.

There is 1 outstanding trade that will be processed in the next sim. The trades involving cash have been completed.

i was thinking about making a youtube video one time about how to set up the ndl league, but i slacked at it. plus extracting files n shit takes like 15 mins. i'll see if i can put something together tho

I had the same problem with Brickhouse. He wouldn't sign for anything near reasonable and being on the wrong side of 30. I still stand that there isn't a single elite Catcher in this game... someone who hits above .300 consistantly and plays defense.

saurez won the MVP in his prime.

Saurez also in 127 games last yr was .249/.347/.451 with 22 hrs and 84 rbis. thats pretty solid for a catcher. Dunno what you mean by elite.
