There are reports that he is regretting the decision and is thinking of reversing the deal and going back to LA.shel311 wrote:Cnasty wrote:DeAndre Jordan to the Mavs
Not sure how that all works if the contract has been signed and such but this could be fun.

@ESPNSteinLine
Clips, I'm told, firmly believe they'll be bringing DeAndre Jordan back to LA on a plane tonight. This story, mind you, puts the F in fluid

And then DeAndre's agent says to the Clippers:
@michaeleaves
Source also tells me that Fegan made an ultimatum to Doc prior to agreement w/ Mavs that LAC would have to trade CP3 to keep DJ.

Jalen Rose said today that DeAndre Jordan's impact on the Clippers is so big that if he leaves, the Lakers will win more games than the Clippers next season

Re: NBA 2014-2015 Thread
This has been own of the greatest offseason days I can recall in quite a while.
Ramona Shelburne ?@ramonashelburne
Clippers believe DJ is returning to LA but I'm told they are staying at his house until he can sign at midnight.
Marc Stein ?@ESPNSteinLine 42s42 seconds ago
In story with @ramonashelburne we also report Mavs now fear they won't now get audience with Jordan as Clips have essentially surrounded him

Lance Stephenson is probably accidentally gonna answer the backdoor and let Mark Cuban inside the house.
Re: NBA 2014-2015 Thread
this has to go down as one of the wildest hoops offseason stories ever.
imagine if Deandre Jordan was really good!

@WojYahooNBA: Yahoo Source: Clippers, DeAndre Jordan meeting was short. It was clear he was returning to them. Then they started to play cards.
Re: NBA 2014-2015 Thread
1) I'm disappointed that this whole DJ thing didn't end with him in a high school gym somewhere, picking between two hats on a table
2) Mark Cuban is absolutely wrecking Chris Broussard. That guy is a tool, and ESPN keeps letting him make crap up.

Willie Cauley Stein is gonna be a lot better of an NBA player than most people give him credit for.
his first few years he might be like Tyson Chandler/Deandre Jordan in his early years where they were freak athletes who were kind of sporadic and lost. but in a few years, he's already got so much bounce in his step and such good athleticism if he can find a good passing PG to play with he's going to fall into points offensively and defensively he's going to be above average the first second he steps on the court assuming he stays out of foul trouble.

Deangelo Russell is one of my favorite players to watch in the league and he's played 3 minutes in the summer league.
he's gonna be so freaking good
going to be interesting how he meshes with Kobe tho, he wants the ball in his hands and kobe isn't going to have any of that.

Don't be surprised to see him marking smaller guys (guards even) on the wing instead of being camped in the post. His footwork is amazing (did you know he played WR in high school?!) for a guy his size, and watch his defense in the final seconds vs Notre Dame. Many times we'd put him on a guard if we had to have a stop. If he can develop some sort of offense beyond lob dunks, he'll have a great career.
