Game Recaps

Miscues Doom Bobcats
Fall 42-28 to LA TECH
Texas State was unable to hold on after getting off to a 14-0 lead on two defensive touchdowns to begin the game. The offense was never really able to get in sync in this one as Rutherford threw four picks. Several drops by receivers did not help the cause in this one. On defense too many big plays were let up off of blown assignments. Louisiana Tech was the better team today and the final score reflects that. All hopes of sharing a WAC title were probably lost after dropping their second conference game. Texas State still looks to finish strong as they appear to be heading to a bowl game.

GG Ryan best of luck

Colby Cameron had the best game of his season against Texas State.
Bulldogs rally for second league win
35-straight points leads to victory
RUSTON, La. - Things were ugly to start the game for Louisiana Tech, as they threw two pick sixes in the first quarter, but it was all Bulldogs after that. Trailing 14-0, the Bulldogs scored 35-straight points to lead the remainder of the game.

The first interception came with 3:53 to play in the first quarter. Throwing from his own end zone, Cameron was picked off by J. McLean at the eight. With 1:50 to play in the first quarter, J. Bartu intercepted Cameron and took it 60-yards to the house, as Texas State went up 14-0. On second-and-11, R. Casey broke one tackle, as he took Cameron's pass 76-yards to the house with 1:50 to play in the first quarter.

After stopping the Bobcats on fourth down, Cameron found H. Lee for a gain of 40-yards on second-and-nine. Two plays after completing a third down pass by two yards, Cameron found Q. Patton for a 17-yard touchdown to tie the game with 2:45 to play in the first half. After a Texas State punt, Cameron found M. White for a 55-yard touchdown pass with :53 to play in the half, giving the Bulldogs a 21-14 lead. On the first play of the Bobcats' drive, K. Hayes intercepted the pass at the 35, returning it 10 yards. Four plays later, H. Lee scored from a yard out, giving the Bulldogs a 28-14 lead at the break.

On the fifth play of the second half, D. Clark intercepted a Rutherford pass in the end zone. On the 11th play of the drive, Cameron found A. Guillot for a 12-yard touchdown pass with :58 to play in the third quarter.

Texas State scored on the first play of the fourth quarter, as T. Arndt threw a four-yard touchdown pass to I. Battle. Just as the Bobcats were getting back in the game, H. Lee went 70-yards on the very next play for a touchdown.

After a Louisiana Tech punt, S. Rutherford threw a 47-yard touchdown pass to I. Battle with 1:10 to play. The Bulldogs recovered the onside kick to end the game.

-Great game John. Good luck the rest of the way.
