I'm tempted to buy something I don't need. Debating between Switch and PSVR.

Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze
Super Mario Deluxe
Mario Odyssey
Zelda

Get the online ps+ equivalent and you get a boatload oh classic hands. Well worth it

Not a Minecraft family but heard it’s comparable to any other platform.

The beauty of the Switch is it’s portability to bring anywhere and it’s a tank of a console once you slap a screen protector on it and grab a case to carry it in. He brings it everywhere and has dropped many times and still ticking.

I play the Switch easily more than my XB and PS4 combined.

Also, they go on sale quite a bit. Look around for deals and you can find them in the $250 range and sometimes with an extra set of joy cons which you will want eventually.

What about the virtual old Nintendo games like the WII used to have online, can they be accessed online? If so, what about save options for those old games. I am seeing if it is worth it to purchase the Switch, depending if they brought over original Nintendo games.
