Pacquiao v. Marquez
As if JMM didn't feel a bit slighted be 1 of his previous decision losses... now he has a real reason to feel screwed. JMM clearly won that fight in every way I can think... except for the important one... the scorecards at the end. Unreal how bad he got robbed.

Boxing is on life support. They can't have Pacman losing. Totally ruins the only thing that can bring the "sport" back to life.
Re: Pacquiao v. Marquez
If anything at the most it should of been a draw. The other two judges were smoking some good stuff.

WHAT?! Man, I am not a fan of boxing like I used to be - and certainly not like Riccio - but I am still a fan. Yet, I made no attempt to watch yesterday's fight nor even catch the highlights because I just assumed it was going to be a brutal bloodletting. I am going to find a torrent now.
Re: Pacquiao v. Marquez
i thought it was a draw.
in no way did i think Marquez clearly won.
either way, Mayweather > Pacman

I don't think JMM won the fight. There were alot of close rounds, but JMM didn't do much late in the fight. He also pretty much gave the last round away. Another thing is you can't compare this to hit Mayweather fight, because FM got him in his 1st fight in moving up in weight.

Perfect example of why I no longer care at all about boxing.

This is probably the MMA guy inside of me, as I haven't consistently watched boxing in more than 10yrs... but just throwing punches that don't land doesn't justify winning a round to me. I'm a believer in effective punching. Pac wasn't throwing effective punches down the stretch. I can't justify a win for flailing.

he landed more punches and more power punches.ReignOnU wrote:This is probably the MMA guy inside of me, as I haven't consistently watched boxing in more than 10yrs... but just throwing punches that don't land doesn't justify winning a round to me. I am a UFC guy and their fight was a complete DUMP on Saturday night. I'm NOT a boxing guy, but last night's fight was top notch. Pacman friggin' lost but it was damn close. He got some benefit of the doubt being the champ and what's keeping the sport off of life support.
