Out of the Park Developments Working on Football Game...
Rumors of a football game from the makers of Out of the Park Baseball and Franchise Hockey Manager have been essentially confirmed today after “leaking” information to Operation Sports and then promoting it on their Facebook and Twitter feeds. Beyond the Sideline Football appears then to be the third PC sim management game from the developer.
Beyond the Sideline will feature real NFL players and teams, real colleges and actual prospects to draft by name, all the same rules and regulations of the league, a 2D engine to show action on the field (calling plays and watching them run), and all the management and scouting abilities that would be expected from a GM.
The news comes shortly after initial details for Out of the Park Baseball 15 which includes for the first time a 3D engine that will eventually lead to on-field animations as the game expands further from its text-based origins.
