What in the world was exciting about the 1st half of that episode?packsyd2284 wrote:Just watched the first half during my prep period/nutrition.....you're crazy if you thought it was boing Shel. I am loving this one, remembering all these games from my jr high and hs days.
I just remember watching those games growing up and having no idea about how Davis got kids to walk on and gave them track schollies and shit. How he worked around the sanctions was very interesting to me.shel311 wrote:What in the world was exciting about the 1st half of that episode?packsyd2284 wrote:Just watched the first half during my prep period/nutrition.....you're crazy if you thought it was boing Shel. I'll concede that the 2nd half I didn't watch was probably much better. But the 1st half was just a recap of games/seasons, hell even Billy Corbin(director) said on Lebby's radio show that the 1st half wasn't all that interesting and didn't turn out as he'd hoped(or something along those lines), so I can't be that crazy.

Oklahoma, Colorado, Nebraska, and Nebraska all won championships between 85-95
Nebraska, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas all won championships between 95-05
As a leader (coaches are leaders IMO) you shouldn't involve your subordinates (players) with these types of things. I've always been a Bo fan, but this knocks him down quite a bit for me, you never let the kids you lead get into the political game of how your career plays out. You should just lead, coach and mentor them to be better players and men.Seeitsaveit13 wrote:Pollini didn't pull any punches on the way out...

Kinda makes me like him a little more, say what you will, but he sticks up for his guys. I think he'll do well at YSU, especially being from the area
