It compromises the entire 40 man roster process if we do.
what's the downfall of that.....its a bit early....brain's not firing on all cylinders yet
Almost every offseason I'm having to waive/DFA guys I feel like have MLB talent or hopes because I don't have enough room on my 40 man. Corey got a guy from me that will get some ABs from the waiver wire. I have a few guys on my ML team from the waiver wire.
If we get rid of the 40 man, we get rid of a a really important component of roster construction.

Pre-Boston draft.
Corey would have been able to stack his AAA team with a bunch of 60/60 and over guys because he couldn't get them on his active/secondary roster due to depth of the organization.
and? that's pretty much what his AAA...AA....and A team was anyhow
They all weren't fully developed though. I believe it's out there so organizations can't stash fully developed guys in the minors. Maybe someone smarter than me on baseball rules can explain this
I don't believe anyone should be forced to give anyone back, I don't think anyone does.
But if we're being honest, if Seeit is willing to work with Corey to give Plummer back and Seeit very obviously knew that Plummer being available would only be done so by an error on Corey's part, logically speaking should he or anyone really have put Plummer on their Draft list? IMO, no. It's not wrong or against the rules, but it's pretty obvious that wasn't Corey's intent, and it's different IMO than the guys who don't export for 7 days before Rule 5 and leave an 80 potential dude there, i have no issues with that dude being poached from a team.

I don't know of anyone that has declined to send someone back in a trade when reached out.
Either way, I will of course try but if not and the person that took them decides to keep them then so be it.
I have no problem giving him back if I can get something of value similar to what I would have gotten at that pick. No desire to be a dick and keep him, even though the same thing has happened to me multiple times.
