Unfortunately, I am late to this party, but you are clearly not understanding the rule or corey maybe didn't understand it at the time.
In this league, we used to charge a fee to teams that relocated. Any time a relocation occurred, your interest, loyalty and market size was set to what the rule states.
We then change that rule and make it that you were no longer charged fees as long as you were not changing your stadium dimensions, walls, etc.

When corey stated that new guys get one free move when coming aboard, that didn't mean that you get to keep the interest, loyalty and market size. It has NEVER meant that.
If you were told that, whoever told you that was wrong or was doing you a favor if it was a commissioner.

But the one free move was that back when we charged a relocation fee, we let new owners rename the team to whatever city they wanted it to be in up front. Everything else was still reset as the rule mentions.

In your post above, Wasted asked the question, and the rule that was posted clearly states that it was not right that you keep those settings, but that those settings should be set to:
Team Interest will be set to 100.
Team Loyalty will be set to 20.
Market Size will be set to Average.

And I am not bad mouthing corey. but if his response of new guys get one free move, meant that none of that gets changed, that is simply wrong.

1) ALL new guys, no matter if they move or not are reset.
2) Any time you relocate your team is reset

I honestly did not look, but if he didn't, he should and will fix it.

Any time a team moves, you are reset. This league has always been that way.
And as shel stated, if you were new, it was reset regardless if you moved or not. As dak stated, you should not inherit what the last owner did.

If corey told him that it would not reset, then I am not sure why he would say or do that. We have never done that before.
But corey was a great commish, so if he did do it, he may have had a reason.

Obviously I was ill advised or misunderstood the rule. Still seems clear in the forums of April 2017 that it was aired out, but looks like I have a different take on those conversations.

Do whatever you guys think is fair, reset my team all together or leave my market at above average, whatever Strange Billy Trump decides is fair, he is the boss.

Looking at the standings, Washington is listed above Alabama but when you go to upcoming league schedule no playoff games are listed beyond the play in one so it might not tell us until that game is played. I'd just be available in case it makes you play one right after
