NFL owners want it but have to get NFLPA to agreeshel311 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 17, 2021 11:43 am I can't remember if it was NBA or NFL but i saw a headline yesterday saying they were giving thought to allowing asymptomatic players to play. i'm still wondering when the lightbulb will go off that they're unnecessarily causing issues by requiring testing for athletes. It just doesn't make any sense.
Re: NFL Thread
Lol, it makes no sense how they are handling this. 99% of the world is not tested daily or even monthly. NBA is 97% vaccinated. To test them so much and identifying asymptomatic people is pointless. It’s not stopping any spreading when everywhere you go asymptomatic people are everywhere.
If this shit is still happening in 2024 I’ll have to buy one of George’s MAGA hats.

Re: NFL Thread
I can buy this pandemic talk last year. Not now. Now it is just stupidity. I am vaccinated and got the booster as well.

Re: NFL Thread
So the Browns were testing all their players AFTER practice
So stupid

So stupid
Re: NFL Thread
no one cares. this isnt about you but your selfish so you want it to be. its about the families of the players, and people who attend the events, not a dude in Ukraine. Go shore up your borders you're about to become a Russian puppet state.

Re: NFL Thread
I don't think it is 0%. Owners want it. Not sure that NFLPA is a firm no. Players don't want to sit out either when they feel normal.

Re: NFL Thread
Double header Monday night. I'll get to come home and watch the Browns while eating dinner. I like it.
Re: NFL Thread

Don’t let maga billy see this. He thinks everyone who gets covid and is in shape isn’t struggling.
Also imagine thinking OL and DL players who weigh 300+ pounds are healthy and physically fit

Re: NFL Thread
Nick, does your job have daily testing?
Millions of people go to work every day without testing, but OH MY GOD THE HORROR of suggesting the NFL and NBA can do the same.

Re: NFL Thread
That is the point. If you are feeling sick then by all means get a test and quarantine. For the large large majority of athletes who are asymptomatic and feel normal let the dudes play. Everyone is getting/spreading this thing so testing athletes daily when none of the rest of the population is doing that makes absolutely no sense.
Re: NFL Thread
Good luck getting in that softball league with your 20 arm and no covid test
Re: NFL Thread
80 bat. Could out average Tebow in AAA.
Re: NFL Thread
I just snagged a rapid gen test from work. Let’s try this sucker out.
