In fourth grade!?! Damn, thats nuts. I went through school without taking my books home once. Not because Im some genius, but I just used the extra time in school to get shit done (usually the last 10-15 mins of class in HS was used to work on whatever we were doing on our own) I guess if thats not being given there is an hr or so everyday right there.
I feel like a kid is gonna learn work ethic on his/her own eventually, given that theyre raised in the right environment. Not sure they need to pound the books like that in fourth grade

that's a lot for a grade 4 student. but im guessing that's over like 5-6 core classes, so 10 minutes a class isn't soo bad..
my grade 5 teacher made us do this like Japanese math, cause he was a dickhead, never used it again to this day, seemed kinda pointless.

I was reading something today that on average a parent has 1 hour a day of absolute, free time to do whatever they want with.
Thoughts from parents on if this is true or close? I guess asking in a video game football league is a bad population to poll.
If so, I may start rethinking this baby thing.

on average it sounds about right
keep in mind it depends on your overall situation
how supportive/good is your wife? is she the take over type when u say, i gotta do what i gotta do for an hour or so or is she gonna be all over you to do baby stuff
or are you like me and actually wanna do the baby stuff
my youngest turns 6 this summer and she's almost at the age where she can entertain herself for a few hours without me feeling like im ignoring her or something
so the age on that study may be like 0-6 years old
but then again, once little league starts like aj has.....hour of homework a day....
..lol, yeah, hour sounds about right...and may be a bit generous
also, i dont think that includes time you subtract from sleep time

Thats pretty crazy when you break it down.
I guess the free time we have now is allotted to family free time and stuff you enjoy doing as a family more so than yourself.
