IMO with as good as the pass defense (or gimicky) is in this game there is simply no call for "playing the pass"

Agree but also didnt want to dock my opponent for using something against the rules. So I only docked for "moderation".

I hadnt ever seen someone use it in the past 2 versions and I couldnt remember if we actually made a rule against it like the run one...and didnt feel like going to search.

play the pass, play the run, play the whatever is an automatic docking of points by most people.

pretty much any strategy points are 'frowned upon'

I agree but I grade pretty high unless something is really abused and just overly done.

I also wasnt brushed up on the current version's rule if anything was adjusted due to it being better or worse. Like AJ said, the pass defense is already pretty awesome. This was otherworldly with the play the pass.

It's not that bad at all. Under the ESPN section on the main menu of the game there is a video with passing hints, check it out.

On outs, a ll it takes is moving the left analog stick to the left (or right) as you throw and if there is no safety looming over top it'll be incomplete or caught by your wide out.

Comeback routes hitting the left analog down and hitting the receiver button rather hard will send a low rope that avoids much of the defensive pressure.

Quick question. I was reading Corey's recap and something caught my eye.

Is user catch cheasy? I made two really cool plays where I came back to the ball on an out route. Would that be cheasy?

the teleporting on D happens a lot

the lead blocking was typical too

Let's just say "certain guy(s)" think that user catching is cheesy.

Of course we all ADJUST. However, it is fair to call out EA on this BS. The game is full of gimmicks that cover up for terrible AI.
