Sounds a lot like Red Dead. The theory behind an online open world make sense but the reality is it doesn’t work real well. Red Dead was a giant open world with only a few missions and matches to play. It got boring real quick. To me, these games are single players and should stay that way.

yeah. the single player was fun. Hard to argue that. I wouldnt say the story was all that great and the missions werent very difficult either

Online would be more fun if there were more than sixteen people on a server. I know that would likely be difficult but that is the big problem.

I guess I somewhat agree

to me though the online problems are as follows:

* # of players
* there is nothing to really "do"
* difficult to connect with friends
* whats the real point

maybe if there were like 100 people per "room" and there were empire or turf wars or something.....i dont know.

IMO it doesnt having any real lasting appeal as is

Honestly at this point, the most enjoyable part is getting cars and seeing what sort of customizations you can do with them. We're hoping bank heists show up soon, most of these missions are boring, a few are fun.

There's plenty to do now and the friends thing has gotten fixed for the most part.

I still have fun fucking around on it. My biggest issue is that the missions, races, etc. aren't integrated. Takes too much time to get started on a mission. Also we never played any of the real versus game modes.

Also I'm afraid to take the game out because the motor that takes the disk into my ps3 seems to be fucked up. Takes me forever to get a new game to be recognized. Perfect timing for ps4.

Yeah, the fact that the missions don't happen in "real-time" sucks. I am sure it would be a nightmare trying to get some of these missions done with 10-15 other people running around but that would be part of the allure.

Races
Survival (only did this once, w Beefy/Seem/someone else, and it was fun as HELL; it's like zombies or survival on COD)
Team Deathmatches
Single player deathmatches
Missions
General Shenanigans (setting up huge piles of cars, someone using a heli to blow up police choppers, and people on buildings shooting the cops as we work towards 5 stars)
Cruising down Main St w souped up ghetto-wagons and classic cars (Beefy is having a blast w this)

Rough it out until Level 20, or join us for some of the better, more difficult missions. And you'll change your mind.

I was close to giving up on it as well, but it's working much better. Everyone is also getting $500k soon, the first half of it coming this week.

The online play has been fixed. But it also plays like the offline mode, You can choose what you really want to do.

A few of us have figured out how to really earn money, And enjoy what the game offers. Not your typical shooter at all. But each has there own.

I ran some races last night with some random people. It was pretty fun. I won an offroad race in my monstrous pickup truck against 4 people using dirtbikes. There was a point where you came off the dirt trail and had to cross the highway. I was about 50 yards behind them and they were in a pack. All four of them hit the highway at the same time and a trucked rammed into them and sprayed their bodies everywhere. It was pretty hilarious. I got far enough ahead to hold on a win by less than a second.
