Did you cut him and then he retired? If so then yes it does. If he retired on his own then it should not.qazhby wrote:The money is still counted againat me i’m pretty sure lol
Sizzler will be remember by that player/contract in HOF of bad contractsqazhby wrote:Yeah i cut him, pretty sure he wouldn’t have retired if he wasn’t cut
Honestly in 30 years will Boston even be out of debt? The lowest he could get his expenses down to is probably around $50 mil a year and he would only make around $10 mil for gate revenue, $10 mil for season tickets, $10 mil for merchandising and around $40 mil for media revenue. So that's around $20 mil of profit, plus revenue sharing would put him around $30 mil profit so it would take around 10 seasons to get out of debt doing absolutely nothing, that is 1.7 years in real time lol. He wouldn't be able to sign free agents, IFA's, no trades taking on salary or re signing players or anything for 1.7 years. I do think something needs to be done about this, even cutting the debt in half at least makes it manageable for CoreyCnasty wrote:Boston will be staying put.
Thank you for the feedback and see you guys in 30 years.
Have a nice day.
Not saying it's easy, but if he trades Marino for really good prospects, drafts well, and trades well, he can have a team good enough to make an average amount of money on a low payroll, and along with revenue sharing he can shave off $50mil or more each season.qazhby wrote:The lowest he could get his expenses down to is probably around $50 mil a year and he would only make around $10 mil for gate revenue, $10 mil for season tickets, $10 mil for merchandising and around $40 mil for media revenue. He's gonna get a ton for Marino, but even trading him is no going to help him field a competitive team because he's still going to have so many holes to fill and won't be able to fill them without FA or trades. Also will he even be able to sign guys he drafts in rounds 1-5? I'm asking bc i have no idea if he will because of the debt. Also $50 mil a year would still take 6 seasons to get him out of debt which is an entire year lolshel311 wrote:Not saying it's easy, but if he trades Marino for really good prospects, drafts well, and trades well, he can have a team good enough to make an average amount of money on a low payroll, and along with revenue sharing he can shave off $50mil or more each season.qazhby wrote:The lowest he could get his expenses down to is probably around $50 mil a year and he would only make around $10 mil for gate revenue, $10 mil for season tickets, $10 mil for merchandising and around $40 mil for media revenue. Yea, regardless of financials, you get $4.5mil per year to sign all your draft picks.qazhby wrote:Also will he even be able to sign guys he drafts in rounds 1-5? I'm asking bc i have no idea if he will because of the debt.
Exactly. Many guys have been here before and Corey is one of the best owners and has strong ratings for his franchise that will help. Nothing to see here folksnick wrote:the fuck r u guys going on about? He'll be fine in 5 yrs max.
