I thought Fidel was a made up name.

We are delaying because I cannot make a mistake and upload anything to their servers while Fidel is working on cleaning out our databases.
I don't want to hit upload and mess up something that he is doing.

In 1 email he stated to wait till I hear from him before I continue.

It is not a website issue per say. I am not 100 % sure what the issue is and am just doing what I am told.

When we run a sim, it has to upload the files to the server first and that is the same server that the website pulls from, so I am unable to upload anything at this time.

Again, as soon as I hear something, you will too.

I said screw it and used the results anyways, but it is things like this that make me not want to waste my time and just let the game generate it and be done.

Same . . . its no one's fault but mine. Should have looked for the blue text.

We've always had an issue with a larger file size which is why he's bumped us up to his premium level of hosting in the past. With that said, there are some things that can be done to limit it, such as running that cleanup.bat file every off-season, after the season wrapup is done and before you rollover to the next day. I think you've been doing this. Beyond that, retiring the massive amount of FAs helps as well (limits data transferred each sim).

This is about all we can really do. OOTP itself has some issues with what it logs over time and how it fills/replaces data when loading. We have a very old league with a lot of history (compounded by how it was initially built). I spent a lot of time back in OOTP13 getting us on a good track, but it was inevitable that we'd run into some issues again at some point. Hopefully Fidel can do some work on his end to clean up the backend and we'll be good to go this weekend. Fidel does a really good job helping out when needed. If we had been hosting on our own server or a normal hosting service, this league probably wouldn't exist today. I learned a TON about OOTP from him.

@ AJ - Not sure if you were serious or misunderstood the issue... but the "website" that you see is also the frontend of where everything is hosted. While JD could possibly run a sim and not have it error out, it would be a huge problem if he has issues pulling the exports or doesn't get a complete clean file load. The safe play right now is to wait until the SQL DBs are cleaned up and the server is stable.

Does each owner have to run the bat cleanup file or just JD?

just JD. A league I play in that I think Seeit told me about (pigskinempire), theyre getting to this point too. Were in 2084 and the servers are completely fucked. 1 time slot lags so bad. Gotta cut down on meaningless old files we dont need.
