I'm truly torn....

Spain pulling Torres for PEdro made me change my pick to Spain. Needless to say I may not bet a winner in this match, but I will be playing the scorelines and the over/unders as the match goes.

Getting pumped about this game. Told the secretary to hold all my calls until the game is over. Got a 3 pack of beer ready (I have a 6 PM meeting so I can only drink 3). Suprised to see the talking heads picking Spain on ESPN.

I really think the loss of Mueller is going to undo ze Gehmans

Also think Del Bosque finally made the right call benching El Nino's fairy ass.

Wow, puyol just missed a sure goal. Spain looking dominant early on. It seems like they have about 80% of the possession.

my first reaction there was penalty.

I'd really like to see that again....it looked like he flat ran him over!

EDIT: after replay, he went down too easy....could've gone either way.

It looked like he stuck his left foot out in the path of the defender to make slight contact and then clicked his left foot on his right foot as he brought it back. No apparent from above.

I still think if Mueller played, Germany wins.

The final should be a good one....I just REALLY hope that a Torres or Robben dive doesn't help decide the match.

yeah fucking right

16-6 shots (5-2 s.o.g.), 62% possession in the 1H and 57% at the end

....have you WATCHED Germany this tournament?

They have killed teams on the counter attack--and Mueller was the guy leading it every time. They had 4-5 great counter chances in the first 70 minutes, and they got to the final third, and they didn't seem to have that playmaker to spring Podolski or Klose free.

Germany has not been a team that dominates possession, they sit back and absorb pressure (like they did today) and then attack off the counter. Mueller gave them an unpredictability on the counter; the lineup they had out there today was more rigid, less playmaking. Hence why I say, if he plays, Germany capitalizes on one of those chances, Spain has to press more, and then it's all over--just like against England and Argentina.

yeah, I bet them against Argentina.

That game was total domination besides Kloos shot so saying they should have won is ridiculous. Maybe sent it to extra time, but that's doubtful with St. Iker
