I’m surprised by the timing but not really all that surprised overall. He’s always been a different kind of guy who’s more self aware than your typical NFL player. They’re good enough everywhere else to probably go 8-8 this year. I’d rather see them burn it all down and wait for Trevor Lawrence in two years. I’m not sold on Tua or the Oregon QB being franchise changing QBs. I actually like Jake Fromm more than either of them as an NFL QB.

Fitzpatrick beats out Josh Rosen for the starting job. I have not been a fan of Rosen since his arrogant interview after the draft where he insinuated he was the best QB in the draft.

If you were a fan of the team that drafted him would you prefer him say he thinks he is the 6th best QB in the draft?

Touche

But if you didn't see the interview it's hard for you to understand. Guy came across as an arrogant prick. I was rooting against him before his first preseason snap.

I don’t remember the interview but I do remember a lot of similar talk about him at UCLA so I am not surprised.

I mean he's essentially a Rookie all over again going to a new team with a new system. I'm not super surprised Fitzmagic was chosen to start week 1 nor would I be overly concerned if I was the Fins faithful.

Rosen said he's the best QB in the draft.

Brady said he'd be the best decision Kraft ever made.

Respect the game, Tom!!!

Didn't know Tom said it. But he was spot on.

Rosen, just don't see it at all as him being the best QB in the draft. Time will tell I guess.

Depends on what your parameters for a bust are maybe? He hasn't be worthy of the 1st overall selection, but he also hasn't been Ryan Leaf bad either

Definitely a bust based on hype, performance and slot of draft pick would be my definition.

He’s far from terrible and nowhere near Ryan leaf.
