looks like my boy Benny Hamilton feeds off "clutch"... people inquiring, questioning why he hasnt played to the potential (esp power) he possesses. Since July 1st he's upped his OPS from .788 to .841 .. cant be complaining about that! Also got him in RF now, more of a natual spot over CF.
I just need a top tier SP though. My offense is 3 stacked, but cant keep winning/losing games 14-12

it took me a while to be confident in trying something, but i am neverrrr using a closer again. no point letting my pitchers with under 2 ERAs sit there and pitch in situations when im only up 3 or less. Keil has 1.45/15 saves in 38 appearances, Johnson is 1.75 and 7 saves in 48 appearances. Most of those games theyd never seen if i was rolling with a true closer.

Depends on how good your "closer" is. I used to pitch Gonzales the same way you do your guys, but then the 9th would roll around, some MR would come in and get rocked.
Gonzales has allowed 3 hits and walked two in his last 11 innings, racking up 17 Ks and 8 saves during that time. No way I want to waste performances like that in the 6th or 7th inning. If I have a lead, I want that on the mound to make sure that the game ends come the 9th.

Wouldn't you want him to pitch in the biggest spots, like with runners in scoring position and not bases empty?

No. I want Sanchez and Pierce pitching in those situations. I want my most dominant guy making sure that the game is only 8 innings long. That's why I invested so heavily in my bullpen, long before my starting rotation. I wanted to make sure if I got a lead, I shortened the game and held it.

Dillonvale takes 2 of 3 from Ohio and 2 of 3 from San Antonio for a 4-2 sim.
We have a 3 game series vs the Seattle Cougars to round out July and then a 3 game series at the South Park Cows.

Fuck this program. I downloaded the new file fine. I checked my mail fine. As soon as I try to do anything with rosters or lineups I get an error message. Fuck it all.

Terrible outlook now, needed to prove to myself that this team was for real. We cant get our hopes up about making any noise. Still nice to get a 4 game sweep of PO

Is it sim time yet? Gotta see if my sim gets picked up. Submitted an export early in the day, but then I think my son restarted the computer and all my changes I made didn't save in game. So just to be safe I redid everything and resubmitted an export.
I was expecting a noon est sim, but doesn't look like that's happening.

Not like he came out of now where. Last 3 seasons have been great seasons for him. He is only 27 and hitting his peak years.
