Votti is 1 of only 2 players to play 162 games.

Someone wave the white towel, this is getting ugly!

i see no correlation in high war, good teams and PAs/game. and heres a spreadsheet showing it. Also yellow players made playoffs.

I probably am really lost but I felt like it was the catcher that had to know the other line-up super well and understand where and what pitches to call for each batter and the pitcher just focused on executing the pitch each time. Certainly a pitcher knows some of the opposing batters really well, their strengths and weaknesses - but I had believed the catcher was the manager of the staff and "called the game". So who cares if the pitcher knows who is on deck then?

with the analytics they have now, they give you data on every guy before the game like a scouting report. catchers and pitchers (the good ones anyways) are well aware of hitters tendencies. guys aren't robots. when i'd pitch I'd always know what part of the order I was in and how much I had to attack guys or who I could throw around.

ok ok ok. even if hypothetically pitchers pitched around batters.... what the fuck does that have to do with WAR??? I said this whole time Hewitts WAR is individual performance. Baseball is SP v Batter. its always individual. What does walking someone matter? If someone is so feared they have a say .500+ OBP from walks and lower HR and RBIs, guess what theyre still gonna have a high WAR cause im pretty sure WAR is heavily weighted to things YOU can control and not out of your control.

All Ive said from the god damn beginning is if Hewitts on any team in the league he'll be elite cause he's elite. thats fucking it. This whole argument is a waste of my time and im done with it.

WAR = (Batting Runs + Base Running Runs +Fielding Runs + Positional Adjustment + League Adjustment +Replacement Runs) / (Runs Per Win)

nothing about pitching around players or walking them or any of that other stuff

Boston has 25 losses so far this season.

Rookie 5th starter David Smith has 8 losses.

They also lost 4 other games in which he started and he got a no decision.

Poor fella.

The other 4 Boston starters are 89-11

Setting up for a realistic Boston like Sale first start of the postseason.

Some AAAA team like Richmond beating us again in a laughable scenario. :P
