Also, in the last couple weeks, I've had a half dozen or so patients gasp and not believe me when I told them I was 29. It inevitably comes up in conversations about my half white mustache/graying hair. Made me feel even older

I have about 9 guys in my back yard digging up my sod, moving all my stuff, and spray painting lines on my yard!
I am very OCD and this construction project is going to be tough.
I'm shutting off the Nest cam. I can't watch!!!

What are they actually doing the work for? New construction?

Yea we are putting down some stamped concrete extensions, covered patio connected to the house, as well as a pergola and outdoor kitchen.
Trying to get it done before football season and they said they can have it done in 10 business days.
Day 1 is here!

Will you still have grass or a sprinkler system in the back?
I like the idea of more outdoor cooking, but everything gets so dirty outside when sprinklers run. So much to clean (unless you can close it off)...

Yes we have one now but havent turned it on in the 2 years we have lived here. Texas gras is so much different than Florida grass.
It can be mowed once every 2 weeks.
Goes dormant in the fall/winter
Never gets truly thick or dies and very drought resistant.
We will still have grass though but yes it will take out a significant amount.

They're putting a square deck in a round(ed) hole. Doesn't that bother your OCD
