Rangers pick up Geovany Soto for a bottom of the barrel prospect. decent arm but nothing special i mean. Soto fallen pretty far from his 2008 Rookie of the year campaign but the rangers C has SUCKED this year. Who knows maybe he does like marlon byrd, milton bradley, and so many others have done by coming to texas and finding their swing again.

Was a good trade for the braves. Reed Johnson gives the braves another option in of when Prado plays 3 rd for chipper. Braves are playing well right now without their starting shortstop and uggla not hitting his weight. Maholm will be a good 3 for the braves. Very pleased.

Someone needs to update the thread title so that Matt can rejoice about League's departure from Seattle

I'd expect him to pitch to a 3.5-3.75 ERA from here on out. Still solid numbers, and pretty sure the Rangers are just looking for dependability at this point with the injuries

I doubt anyone expected him to come in and average 10 K/9 and be the ace of the staff. They needed a workhorse in that colby lewis mold. Thats what dempster will do is eat innings and give the team a chance to win

Dude went from the weak ass AAAA NL to the AL West which has 3 teams fighting for spots. He's gonna get knocked around and its gonna be great. Nelson Cruz to win the World Series.....over his head!!
