yeah, I would give you that, so in the last 12 years we are just a better conference?

Sure, if you choose to ignore the other hundreds or thousands of games the conferences played.

or a conference.
Ill root for a conference if it helps my team.

My favorite fan is the bama football fan, duke/KY/unc basketball fan, lady vol basketball fan and UVA lax fan.
I like ND in all sports due to being from the Illinois area, and the Chicago Trib following them because NIU, NW & Illinois don't do much, and I'm a UNC Everything fan, since it's a bitch move to just like them for Basketball. I started following them because of Jordan, I won't lie, but I follow all sports despite their lack of success in football (cept for successfully fucking up of course).

So I root for multiple teams, but avoid rooting for same conferences. So I may be at a loss here soon given that ND is moving to the ACC soon...

I'm a Cal fan xliqx. I think that the middle of the SEC is overrated b/c of many teams in their conference doing bs non-conference scheduling. That said, I still think the cream of the SEC is still the best in the decade, year in year out.

Root for 1000 teams for all I care. Don't have to justify who or why. I just despise fans like this.

Wow, Liq you lost all credibility when you said you were a WSU fan but really have been an Oregon fan the last 10 years since they have been good. Besides, it is just a game that you are not even involved in so why get so worked up?

Anyway, great game by the Aggies. They just wanted it more.

When did I say I like the Ducks since they have been good? You obviously didn't read why I liked the Ducks.....

That is why I really wanted Oregon to face off vs Alabama...alot of experts were saying it was one of Alabama's best all around teams, and Oregon's best around team, would of been a great game, and it can still happen......

I will probably jinx Oregon and they will lose now and we will get a ND vs K state game haha.

Too easy to fall into the bandwagon category for my taste.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1345 ... conference

Kind of a cool article.

Parts I never would of saw or noticed if I didn't read it.

How deep would the SEC be if its teams only played three non-conference games a year? Would 75 percent of their teams still go bowling? (The pac 12 did this)
Last season, three SEC teams had a 6-6 record in regular season, which made them bowl-eligible: Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Mississippi State. Of their 18 aggregate wins, three were against FCS teams. Mississippi State was the only team that beat a FBS school with a winning regular-season record (Louisiana Tech). The remaining 14 FBS teams these SEC teams beat had a combined record of 43-89.

Take away Furman, Elon and Tennessee-Martin, and those three SEC bowl-eligible teams probably become non-bowl eligible. The SEC put nine teams in bowls, but three of those teams got in due to a 6-6 regular season record with 17 of 18 wins over FCS and sub-500 teams.

The Pac-12 sent seven teams bowling last season, with four of those teams finishing with a 6-6 regular season record: Washington, Cal, Arizona State and UCLA. Arizona State beat three teams with winning records: USC, Missouri and Utah. Washington beat Utah, Cal beat Arizona State and Utah and UCLA beat Arizona State.
Of their 24 aggregate wins, four were against FCS teams. The remaining FBS teams these Pac-12 teams beat had a combined record of 90-101. Take out a conference game, add in a WAC game and suddenly, these four teams aren't fighting to get bowl eligible. Suddenly, they have a winning regular season record.

Just my two cents here. A middle of the pack big 12 team came in and competed in the sec. How's that for overrated? Problem is they will get the benefit of the doubt until another conference establishes themselves which I don't see happening for quite a while. Big 12 has a great team in Kansas state, PAC 12 has the best team in the country (IMO) in Oregon, and the big ten has Ohio state who even without sanctions wouldn't be in the title hunt because of a weak schedule. Meanwhile the sec has Florida, Georgia, Bama, and LSU. Overrated in our eyes? Yes. But all they can do is play their schedules. Not their fault they're overrated.

Your A&M is skewed by having Manziel this season wouldn't you agree?

Just checked the schedules for next year, really happy with how the SEC seemed to step it up.

Alabama vs Virginia Tech
Arkasas AT Rutgers
Auburn vs Washington State
Florida AT Miami, vs Florida State
Georgia AT Clemson, AT Georgia Tech
Kentucky vs Louisville
LSU vs TCU
Miss St vs Oklahoma State
Missouri AT Indiana
Ole Miss AT Texas
South Carolina vs North Carolina, vs Clemson
Tennessee AT Oregon

Only Texas A&M and Vanderbilt aren't playing BCS oppenents.
Also like to see SEC teams playing more quality mid majors... less Sun Belt bottom feeders (who are putting up fights anyways)

They play those teams because they can get that extra home game without a return. It is all about revenue.

Yeah, I think with the Playoff system, they talked about how a big part of the system will be non conference scheduling, I HOPE that is true..as a football fan I LOVE the big non conference games at the beginning of the year between power houses. Auburn at Washington state..could be the two worst teams in those conferences haha.
