Speaking of which, my only complaint with the game thus far is the playcalling screen. Who at EA thought it was a good idea to have to cycle through horizontally one by one? On offense Ive resorted to just asking Corso (which thankfully improved from just PA and screens) and choosing the first play that looks good

hold L2 and it goes 3 at a time

7 minute quarters please. This running 35 plays per game is so lame.
Heisman or AA doesn't matter.
I don't like the strategy stuff but the bickering in this thread already is more annoying than someone actually using it.

push R3 on hte play call screen and you get last years version of the screen. Makes a big diff.

just push R3 and its identical play calling screen to last year

played my first online game this morning against hart. I didn't use any of the strategy stuff, didn't sub any players, just lined up and played the game with what is offered at beginning. It was a fun game and felt different then years past. I have yet to mess with controller buttons, but the speed burst seemds nice. We started at 1025 am and finished about 1110am. 6 min qrters on heisman. I can go either way on time.
I like the game the way it is. No fuckin with strategy stuff. Line up and play. Enjoy it win or lose, it is what it is. The blocking by lineman is greatly improved .they actually make blocks and hold them. Haven't seen a penalty yet offline or online. Very nice game and loooking forward to getting some names on these players.

Wasn't there 4 plays per page last year?
I've done the R3 and it's still 3 plays across from what I've seen.

We def need to have a discussion about 7 min quarters.
Other then that loving the game and finally the defensive backs AI is fantastic, minus the cover 2 corners covering grass instead of defenders if there isn't any other threat.

No doubt, thats what I used. I was talking about having to shuffle one by one once in a formation, which if there are 30 plays you better hope you went the right way. Although apparently with Noles tip you can go 3 at a time

For the record, the shorter the game the better for me :)

I'll try to play one tonight on 7. That just seems really long to me.

I guess we need to test it out.
Because, in theory, if the clock does that quick run down thin, that will mean we will run less plays in 6 min quarters, which means games will go by quicker.
So, theoretically, 7 min. quarters may have the same exact amount of plays, which means games won't last any longer than last year.
It just really sucks when both teams combined can't even get to 75-80 plays. Very unrealistic.

6 minute quarters was sufficient last night when we played. The one thing I noticed in my first game was when you try to send a message, from the screen to the message tab......there is a delay which bugs me.
Texasfan, good game, as I was lost cycling through my players and may have moved some player on accident. The game feels good so far, as we did not use the extra commit on defense at all throughout the whole game. To be honest, I forgot how to use those things after last season's heated discussion about them and will not use them. I am going to get a crappy team, so I have to bear with the passing and rushing yards coming my way. Fun game, just have to get more time to sit down and play.

I noticed that in our game. We had like 25 plays each.
