One year during summer break I worked for my friend in his landscaping business. We spent 4 weeks doing everything from grading to building a 14 foot tall retention wall to planting flowers. Lady would shut the water off inside the house when she would leave for work because she didnt want us to run up her bill using her water. It was soooo hot. We couldnt bring enough water to keep us cool.

I'm about to return this shit already.

I've had the 771- searching for signal strength error 3 times within 30 minutes of him leaving.

Twice with no rain and then just now in a storm.

And my directv cinema doesn't seem to be working as there is no movies to choose from as well as the local "active" weather shit not working making me think it's not connected.

Fuck you guys.

When it came back on it was pushing 96-98%, I'm guessing that's good.

Still annoying as shit if this is gonna be the case. Wonder if it's where he put it and possible trees in the way

stuff like that just baffles me. i can't see why people are like that. people are so appreciative for the offer, let alone if they actually take advantage of it. you'd think it would be common courtesy, but i guess not.

when was delivering furniture in college, we'd get things offered to us every now and then. this one hispanic lady was cooking tamales and insisted that we have them. stupid me is eating the thing thinking, "man, it's like this thing is wrapped in paper or something." guess the gringo wasn't used to having real tamales wrapped in corn husks. lesson learned.

You can set up your favorite channels so you can see what is on them at a glance without having to use the guide. You can set programs to record. you can use it as a remote for your box. You can set up the sports so is shows your favorite teams in any sport and shows the scores. You can check what you already have recorded. Check the new movie releases. All kinds of different stuff. It's a good app.

Yes!! Forgot to conclude that story.

The plane I was on luckily was stopping in Dallas after San Antonio so I caught it before it took off from Dallas to San Diego or I would have been screwed. The SW crew found it, gave it to the luggage department and they fed ex over nighted it to me at the hotel in San Antonio.

Best customer service I have seen from a company in a long time.

Oracle summed up the app. I dont think Ill even use the guide on the TV as it can be kind of slow. On the iPad I have all my favorite channels set up and just scroll through there. There is a button on the app that is like "watch this", you press it and the tv changes to that channel. So bad ass. It also has a remote built in as well as a scoreboard, tivo options, and all kinds of stuff. Very solid.

If the signal strength issue continues Im going to call them and complain as it shouldnt happen the first day. The dude that installed it was iffy at best and may have set it up incorrectly. And yes, I did offer him a drink and food and he declined. He gave me a look like "I dont want to accept food from someone Im gonna rob later".

One thing I dont like about the remote is there is no "favorite" button unless Im missing it.

On cable I set up all my favorites and then would just scroll through them by pressing this button and it would only change to my pre-defined favorites. I see the option to make lists and crap and I did edit but not sure how to scroll through just them.

Also the Cinema thing was not working. I clicked on movies, all, and it says "unavailable at this time". What the hell is that?

Yea, I see where you can set up multiple lists but I also just want to press the favorite button (non-existent) on the remote and change through them. No biggie.

I think Ill be using the iPad more than the remote honestly. Its that awesome.

You are missing it. Press the up arrow and it will bring up a screen with 9 boxes. You assign your favorite channels there. Go to a fav channel, press up, pick a square and assign that channel to it.
Pressing the down arrow allows you to jump back and forth between multiple channels if there are multiple games you are watching.
For the Cinema now you need to make sure the guy set your dvr up to connect to the internet. Doesn't cost anything extra but if you have whole home dvr they need to set it up. Call them and tell them he must have messed up because of the lost signal and no internet. You definitely shouldn't be having lost signal. I've had some pretty severe storms and not lost signal.

Oracle showed me a bunch of crap I didnt know last night and opened my eyes even more.

The downloading of the movies to have on demand is amazing and considering if I should drop BB and just get the premium movie channels when my free 3 months is over.

The app on the iPad where I can record from, use the remote, and see the guide faster than the remote has been money. Finally learning the ins and outs and the variety of the OD channels is outrageous. I havent loved TV this much in a long time.
