Re: 2015-16 Offseason Transactions
Also, after a quick spot check, if you look at payroll compared to budget, you're probably in the top half of least % of budget reached.
I'm way under, but for me, there were no Type As remotely worth their contract AND the top 3 pick I would be giving up, so I'm not offering any big time contracts for that reason. Call it moneyball or whatever you want, I'm gonna make the decisions that I feel are best for my team, not just spend money for the sake of spending it.

i cant spend it all. I have no fucking idea why it says 120 mil. If I could spend that extra 50 million i would,
Re: 2015-16 Offseason Transactions
you know that the first half of the first round of the draft is protected from Type A right? It is in the MLB, dunno about in OOTP.shel311 wrote:Also, after a quick spot check, if you look at payroll compared to budget, you're probably in the top half of least % of budget reached.

I didn't see that in the manual.
Can we get a ruling, asap? Lol.

Re: 2015-16 Offseason Transactions
Okay, let me resay that
the old rules in the MLB were top half 1st round was protected, ud lose a sandwich and I think 2nd rounder.
Now with the new cba, I believe Type A's, the team doesnt lose their pick, the type that lost the player gets the spot after slotted in
Ex
Yanks finish 30th, sign a type a, Baltimore picks 31st now.
Thats how theyre doing in the MLB. I think the 2nd is sweet. And Im sure it can be edited and done that way.

stop signing japanese players to 114 million, 5 year deals that get you 19hr, 79 rbis over the last 4 years and maybe you wouldnt have a problem signing some players in 2016. wait til your boy hayes wants a contract, better start clearing out some room now,he is going to want 25mil per,if not more if he continues to pitch like he has.nick wrote:I think we should impliment a rule where you gotta spend a certain % of your payroll per season minimum or damages, or people should have their payrolls deastically cut so we can have some normal salaries.

Where are you finding these numbers?nick wrote:I think we should impliment a rule where you gotta spend a certain % of your payroll per season minimum or damages, or people should have their payrolls deastically cut so we can have some normal salaries.
Norcal, sitting at 107 million, with 21 dudes on their roster, has 100 million left over. Clearly you're not using it all and all it's doing is driving up FA's asking prices
Sheltown.. 152 million, spent $60 million thus far. And you complain about the prices of players!! I wish I had an extra $100 million sitting in my back pocket
Port Orange - 172 mil / 115 mil spent
New York 155 mil / 120 mil spent
Carolina 157 mil / 78 mil spent
Philly 151 mil / 100 spent
Las Vegas 154 / 76 spent
Miami 143 mil / 83 spent
I understand FA is still going on, but how can you guys possibly complain about how much they want?!?!?
We need to trim the money somehow, this is nuts
Rough numbers.. We as a league have 2.893 billion.. and we've spent 1.904 billion on players... thats 989 MILLION!!! available. thats on average 49.45 million per team extra...wild

Re: 2015-16 Offseason Transactions
I really don't think you can make any kind of comment on this until FA is over. I'd bet people have ~30 million in FA offers out there. They probably also have 20 million that is marked only for extensions with no one to extend, so that will always sit unused.nick wrote:I think we should impliment a rule where you gotta spend a certain % of your payroll per season minimum or damages, or people should have their payrolls deastically cut so we can have some normal salaries.
