It is the one thing that OOTP has done that I enjoy. It used to be that there was a 99.9% chance that a guy with a low potential and late round pick would not develop into a MLB player. Now we have guys developing into top prospects and/or serviceable MLB players

Damn, I ddin't see that. I usually try to keep minor league guys till they are at least 23/24 years old just by the off chance they turn out like this guy

Is it bad that when he signed and i pulled up his player profile today and saw his contract, my very first thought was, "I signed him too how much? Why???"

He gets it done and he’s a lefty which is a cheat code in NDLB. Might of overpaid but you need that winning culture so it’s worth it

Miami currently has 3? Anchor contracts ready to fuck this team nicely (Bartal or whatever the C is, Lyons and Melendez)
New challenge in Miami is don’t sign any extensions, go thru arb and then sign at the end of their deals / in UFA. Can’t keep having these horrendous contracts

I usually avoid extensions at all cost. They just seem to screw me more times then not.
Vidro being the exception but he may fall off a cliff or go professional in curling or something.

Every time I try to get a nice player for a solid price, I see that the Beef have offered them around 17m a year.
