Quote from Russ Kiniry when asked about the block in the back animation that never got called for a penalty, "Yes we found that animation... sadly it was missing the flag that made it be called a penalty. On the plus side NCAA 10 will have it updated correctly."

Like the new look of everything so far in dynasty mode although the recruit against feature seems weak
hmmm interestingLetsGoPeay wrote:I traded in 09 yesterday and went ahead and made my reservation for NCAA 10 (Which still just has no ring to it). I got a whopping $16 for 09 if anyone was wondering. But the real point of this post is that they told me the release date for NCAA would be August 18th, a full month later than normal and at almost the same time as Madden. If this is true, I hope EA is using the extra month to fine tune things so we don't end up with something like the roster glitch we had when 09 released.
I would be THRILLED by that news! Mid-July for f'ball is too soon. But by mid August, I would be willing to stand in for hours, to get my copy, I'd be so ready! But that just doesn't seem sensible at all, for EA to put it out the same time as Madden....wouldn't think that'd be good for sales for either of the titles.LetsGoPeay wrote:I traded in 09 yesterday and went ahead and made my reservation for NCAA 10 (Which still just has no ring to it). Quote from Russ Kiniry talking about recruits "Not really a question, but I feel it's important. We've spent the last week or so really trying to fine tune the recruits that come into your Dynasty's... in NCAA 09 you would get too many "good" recruits. The goal is to only have a handful of recruits come into the nation with an OVR rating above 80 at each position. While there are some guys that can step up and play as true freshmen, there should not be as many as we've had in years past.
We are spending hours upon hours SIMing through seasons and logging the attributes of players both when they are created, and as they progress through the seasons. The goal is to create a situation where you need players to progress to juniors and seniors as opposed to simply "reloading" every year with freshmen."
Quote from Russ Kiniry when addressing the "Greased Pig" animation. "What a great name for that animation... I just always called it the one "where my defender falls on his face and causes me to throw my controller".
Actually it was one of the first animations I asked to be removed from the game when I came over to NCAA 10, that and the one where the ball carrier looks like he destroys every ligament in his knee being pulled to the ground.
Sorry don't have a fancy video of it, but I'm sure someone has one or you all know what I'm talking about."
Quote from Adam Thompson when asked if there will be a uniform "preview" model when selecting which uniform you want to where - "He should be making his return when choosing uniforms this year."
Quote from Russ Kiniry "Yeah we've been spending a lot of our Dynasty tuning time on trying to ensure there is a better spread among the recruits, both in the Top 100 and just total numbers.
I covered in the EA Sports Live from Monday that using Competitive Recruiting will have its own set of risks. I would give it a listen, those guys put on a good show.
1. You will need to spend your recruiting time, so you'll have to find that balance of how much to spend talking about you vs. talking about them.
2. Some recruits will just plain not want to hear it, there is a chance they will hang up on you rather quickly when you attempt to use Competitive Recruiting."
Quote from Russ Kiniry "Not far from the truth, I think it more has to do with the fact that you can find way to many "quality" players that are 2 and 3 stars.
I do not feel we should have true freshman coming into the game near 90 every year (if at all)."
Quote from Russ Kiniry "Adaptive AI is new to both NCAA Football 10 and Madden 10. It makes a pretty big difference for how the AI will adjust to what you are trying to do.
I actually just had a pretty good game on All-American where I had to shift my play call from running up the middle every drive, to a more balanced attack because they kept bringing safeties into the box and pinching the D-Line. I wanted to test how long I could get away with calling the same types of plays and was happy to see them react quickly.
In Dynasty the CPU has gotten a few tweaks in how it recruits, specifically not just going for QB's after it fills all the "need" positions.
It wont be.shel311 wrote:A few pictures here. The 1st one, if this is the new camera angle, then praise Jesus, I LOVE IT!!!!
