2024 - Season - Remember the Titans (Ready 8/24)

Peay, you ever get your game going? I went to grab the file last night and it downloaded to 98% and then said that it couldn't load a roster file, so I clicked ok and it shut my game down completely. Sooo.. I go to bring the game up and some error message came up and told me that my computer couldn't handle all the data and that I needed to uninstall then reinstall the game again. FML

I did a complete uninstall/reinstall again last night. The game started up just fine the first time and let me register. I then exited and downloaded all the NDL league files. Then when I tried to start up the game I got the crash and error message again. I haven't been able to do anything at all with my team in a week or more. I know my team sucks and I wasn't going to be a factor this season but my young guys were making progress and I had hope for the future. Now, I have no clue at all what's going on with my team.

- Did you unregister the game?
- Did you go to the control panel and uninstall the game?
- did you download a new fresh copy of the game from the OOTP website?
- did you get update the game after unistalling the game?

Good checklist from bear... definitely try these things. I know a I generally mentioned the reinstall and patch update, but don't recall if you did that or not.

A little life out of Big Stick Banuelos.


Still 6.5 up on Miami, been holding steady around there for a while. Big 3 game set against the Martians next sim could put the division out of reach or make things a lot closer with a sweep either way.


BTW Reign, Sean Boyd was just about on his way to either the bullpen or back to AAA, and all of a sudden he's had 4 straight 7+ IP dominant starts, so now I have 6 SPs who i all want starting and I don't know what to do with Boyd now

BTW Reign, Sean Boyd was just about on his way to either the bullpen or back to AAA, and all of a sudden he's had 4 straight 7+ IP dominant starts, so now I have 6 SPs who i all want starting and I don't know what to do with Boyd now

I'm more worried about being swept cause its a dogfight for those wild card spots.

Yep, I did all of those things.

Ok. Give it another shot. I've done some maintenance to clean up the main file and I've placed a new accountsgm file out there as well, just in case that was causing the issue. Beyond this, I'm not sure what else I could do to help. Keep me posted.

in the AL I finally overtook #1 in OBP! yayyy.. also, I lol at the stolen bases and defenses of the world. 14th/15th in SB in the AL, and 13th/15th in defense eff in the AL and I'm currently a playoff team

Trade him back, lol.

Guys freak out way too often over short term results. I usually don't pass judgement on a player until after a full season. And even with some, it seems to take more than that to really understand them. SP Manny "Thrillseeker" Torres is a prime example of this.

I saw this and just shook my head. I had something similar happen to me in 2018/2019 when I was making a playoff push. It's like this game intentionally screws with you. That was a big time trade too.

I've become very good at the unregister/re-register, uninstall/reinstall process. Hopefully the new files will help. I'm beyond frustrated with the game right now.

Agreed. He has the ratings to be at least a viable SP on a marginal team.

Granted, the only reason I planned to move him out of the rotation was due to getting Sakaguchi/Wilkinson in a trade and giving me way too many SPs. Now I have 6 that I all want out there, and no clue what to do.

Nunez - from your squad. His 1st 2 starts of the season I think he gave up 14 runs, so I knew his ERA would never be quite right, but the last 2 months he's been great
Sakaguchi and Wilkinson - Both proven, consistently good guys for years
Morales- New guy on the block, ratings aren't that great, but he's got a 3.56 ERA this season.
Hogan - Another Cincy guy. We all know how much he's playing above his potentials this season
Boyd - Yet another Cincy guy. Clearly the obvious guy to leave out...maybe, but 4 straight starts, 32.1IP, only 7 ER
Sakaguchi and Wilkinson - Both proven, consistently good guys for years
Morales- New guy on the block, ratings aren't that great, but he's got a 3.56 ERA this season.

ever since that big dirty package from Bio******* came in, Benny "Button" Hamilton has been a FREAK. Dude decided to finally put it all together. for the last 3 sims my "who's hot" has been him.

5-1 sim for NE and it seems like they barely budged in the standings.

Wu starts off his Spitter career with a bang hitting .579 w 5 HRs and 12 RBI's in his first 6 games

Go 3-3 and lose my division lead to Beefy (who is a ridiculous 13-2 this month). Lost one in extra innings, ugh.

Pitching is doing great; hitting....it's like everyone suddenly forgot how to hit, all at once.

Huge stretch of two weeks coming up that will determine my season: 4 at Cincy, 3 at Washington, 3 vs Phoenix, and 3 vs Philly.

Btw Reign, can we get a minor league update on the site, por favor? hasn't been updated since mid June and the expansion of rosters is coming in two sims.
