This doesn't make any sense.
- People kneel for police brutality
- People take it as an insult to the vets
- People only kneel cause they feel blacks have been treated unfairly

They look past the fact theyre kneeling for police brutality and get mad because people are disrespecting the flag (and anthem). They lose sight in the fact theyre kneeling because of a very serious issue. So they value the flag more than the lives of certain people.

You think if Peyton Manning took a knee theyd react like this? Be honest.

You think Drew Brees really values the flag more than people's lives? Be honest... Consider his track record of philanthropy.

Personally, I take it as disrespecting the flag, which, you just don't do, but to each their own.
So one veteran said do it. I can counter with hundreds of veterans that say that was the wrong thing to do.

nick wrote: Wed Jun 03, 2020 8:07 pm America has had 27!!! Different flags.

“ The current design of the U.S. flag is its 27th; the design of the flag has been modified officially 26 times since 1777. The 48-star flag was in effect for 47 years until the 49-star version became official on July 4, 1959. ”

So the flag they fought for in 1944 is diff than the one people salute today ...

Keep using the flag horseshit tho
Come talk to Americans when you aren't England's bitch

i dont think anyone directly thinks that.. its subconscious. black people arent kneeling cause they want the colors changed to Black White n Grey or something.. and people take the kneel as an insult immediately without thinking about it.

"my grandpa fought".. these black people who live in the US probably love the shit out of your gramps and would have him at a BBQ because he fought for their rights. They just want the same as everyone else.

Something you would never understand. That flag represents all those lives lost so we can have the freedoms to protest and enjoy our constitutional rights.

Still it mutually exclusive.

Brees can think kneeling during the Anthem is disrespectful and also think black people are being treated unjustly and help them in their cause for fair treatment. Like Brees said when he doubled down today, check his track record on his actions, it's pretty clear where he stands.

One can certainly disagree with Brees's take on the kneeling, but it should basically end there. Taking it to the extreme with some of the stuff we've seen, even from his own teammates, is likely thinking more emotionally than rationally.

And again, none of these dudes complained when Brees said it before, and some were on his team then.

Then finally taking it to Twitter first without going directly to the person you have a problem with is just very childish.

This is the disconnect with Americans. He says this and people label him as insensitive, or even worse.....racist. You CAN have it both ways here.

i never got the divide in the US.. if Black ppl and White ppl got together your country would be terrifying. Black republicans who are pro trump look like they would run through a brick wall for him. A whole country together? jesus christ.

100% agree on the timing, pretty sure I mentioned that.

I have zero issue with the message being disagreed with also, the issue is the leaps people will make based off of it.

Who doesn't?

Everyone has the same rights. Some are treated differently, but they have the same rights. But don't label every cop for the few bad apples. It's no different to say all black men are bad because Niko Jenkins is a horrible person

trendon brought up the point yrs back and it stuck with me. its not about 10 good 1 bad.. its about those 10 not speaking.

example Minny. the Asian? (i think) cop who stood there and did nothing. Hes getting charged.. but he did nothing.. and thats the problem. hes just as bad of a person. So when you find out your buddy on the force did something shady and oyu dont report, youre inherently bad. No one wants to rat their friend out esp in those situations cause the ramifications would be personally pretty terrible.. but that makes u bad.

btw this happens in all unions but cops have this specific job. Im not gonna be arresting and murdering people as a janitor.

extreme but.. you witness a friend kill someone.. would u report? if you say no then youre just as bad.

This right here is what I've said on these boards for years... the United States is vastly different than any country in the world. With just about any topic ever, it's incredibly complicated to compare the US to other countries. Race, Ethnicity, Religion, Politics, Government, Business and so on...

I get it that you may think it was the wrong thing to do, but Kaepernick at least sought out the opinion of someone that was in the military.
I give him credit for that. He didn't just blindly do it or come up with it on his own.

It is very sad to me that it is 2020 and we still have the issues we have today in America and the world.
