This all may be true, but whether they're "look at me" or not makes them no better or worse players on the field in the middle of plays. Both him and TO are both on the very shortlist of best players to ever play their position.

So, they weren't a "real team" when they won a Super Bowl? They're not a "real team" if they win another Super Bowl?

There are a ton of people in sports that will tell you he is the best leader of our generation in all of sports, but his teams aren't "real teams" because he does a dance before a game? C'mon now.

You'e managed to 1up AJ in your old man bitterness.

i feel like you get 'tired' of alot.

how can you hate Ray? he's everything a football player should be, imo
Everything a football player should be, including a murderer...sorry, an alleged murderer!

Agreed. He's more "Look at me!" than just about any NFL player since Owens. Real teams run on the field as a team. They don't have one guy that dances like a fool by himself. If the Ravens want to impress, they'll all come out and do the Ray-Ray, including Flacco. And Flacco should definitely show up with his Johnny Cakes facial hair for the Super Bowl.

Also, it is fitting that nearly all of Baltimore worships him considering it has long been (may not be anymore, not sure) the murder capital of the US.

While I agree he is more "Look at me", he is not an asshole like Terrell Owens was.
From what I hear he is a fantastic teammate.

i couldn't possibly care less about his offseason 'issues'.

if i did, i wouldn't follow sports since the large majority have deplorable track records and rap sheets.

I dont even care about the pre game dance so much. i dont care about TO's td celebrations, etc etc.

Its the fake crying and the preacher-like way he talks. Like everything he says is the most important thing of all time and highly dramatic.

Somebody post the Youtube link of Ray Ray talking about the criiiimmme and how the criiiimmme rate in america would rise if the lockout continued.

One of my favorite soundbites of...ever.

I swear this is a 100% true and accurate statement of what just happened 3 seconds ago.

Dude who works in our department, haven't spoke with him all day, maybe in a couple of days. Walks by my office, and says to me, and I quote:

"Did I mention that I hate Ray Lewis?"

And he just keeps on walking to his desk.

Good lord aj is a bitter old man sometimes.

Taking my u bias away, which is near impossible I know, the dude is everything I love about sports and football.

I watch sports to be entertained, he entertains the shit out of me and he is actually one of those guys that backs up his antics with ridiculous playing ability.

A team runs out together

Can I use Dave's "does everyone get a trophy too"?

Get off your high horse and have a little fun

I think there a slight difference between moral standing and rooting for players that are involved in major crimes. If we were all bashing on Ray because he had 10 kids with 10 women, that would be a moral issue. But rooting for him when he was an accessory to murder (or rooting for Vick after his criminal past) is a little different.
