Re: Random Discussions
What’s this co-sleeping you speak of?!?
Re: Random Discussions
Baby sleeping with us still instead of in the crib. Wife turns into an emotional wreck when the baby cries while we try to sleep train. So my daughter kicks at my back in her sleep all night.
Part of the problem is having such a small house and thin walls, when the baby even rustles in the crib my wife hears it and has to check things out. Chalk it up to being a new mother

Like, sleeps in your bed?
You gotta get that under control ASAP!!!
I know it's captain obvious stuff but the longer you wait the tougher it'll be on the kid to knock the habit and start sleeping in her own bed?

Yeah - no thanks. I'm sure some people love it but we never went there. My wife said that most of her friends that did it still have their kids in their bed years later. Years...

Yea in the bed is real tough to break. We never allowed them in the bed. Still don’t to this day.
It’s tougher for moms for sure and it’s like a band aid. Could hurt for one night to train or 3 or 4. All kids are different.
You got this!

I finally called off Friday night sleep in our bed get togethers.Cnasty wrote: We never allowed them in the bed. Still don’t to this day.

In fairness, they'd fall asleep in our bed then I'd bring them to their beds. But after moving to Texas, boys getting bigger and the 2 story house w/their beds upstairs, for a couple of months I'd just let them stay their and go sleep upstairs. Unfortunately, all 4 beds upstairs suck so I called it off, no more sleeping in our bed on Friday nights.

He's in deep, young kid sleeping in the bed all night.Cnasty wrote:See, if Shel can do it, so can you!!
Mine was easier, older kids falling asleep then going to their own beds. Apples and oranges!
We did have a hell of a time with the 1 kid when we first moved to Texas, probably cause he was so far away from us being upstairs and us downstairs. He'd wake up every morning at 3am and flip his shit if he didn't get to sleep in our bed. After a couple of weeks of that, a simple reward system of Hot Wheels cars, and that was fixed too. That was a nightmare ish couple of weeks though, every single night.
