Anyone who thinks Kobe is better than Lebron either doesn't know much about basketball or has some personal motive for doing so, which MJ does.
Move out to LA Shelton, Kobe is better than Lebron, and possibly MJ out here........

That makes no sense for CLE.
I think IT4 is a free agent after this season, and I can't see how he'd want to re-up with them after Lebron leaves in 2018.

I think the Nets 1st round 2018 pick is in play, so that makes more sense for CLE.
I don't like this for BOS at all.

A lot of different thoughts on this...
- I think value wise, it's a steal for Cleveland. I don't see any scenario was Kyrie works out long-term and it felt like they had lost leverage in trade negotiations recently.
- I think it makes Boston better because Kyrie > Isaiah in just about every way except maybe staying healthy. Back issues are no joke.
- Oddly enough, while I think Boston is better overall, I think they are weaker specifically against Cleveland now and this feels like it ensures the Eastern Conference for them. (sure, things can happen, but better odds)
- I need to admit that I'm biased against Thomas. Great guy, but I don't think he's an elite level player. So I wonder, is there a scenario where Derrick Rose starts and Thomas comes off the bench as the scoring 6th man playing either guard spot?
- It sounds great to get the Nets 1st next year, especially if you consider that Lebron may move on and Thomas may not be back. Unfortunately, the last time we went down this road they ended up with Anthony Bennett. Looking at the '18 draft, it's full of 6'9+ players. Not really a big need for the Cavs since they are overpaying Tristan Thompson, they still have Kevin Love and they acquired Ante Zizic in the deal who may be comparable to a Nurkic/Jokic kind of player.
To be honest, I don't see myself watching too many Cavs games this year. I'll probably go up for my usual 2-3, but it won't be must see tv. I'm hoping I'm wrong, but I can't really envision this roster being enjoyable to watch.

I don't get why people say this?
About the only thing I'd concede is Kyrie has done it more years than IT4. But IT4 was better this past season than any single season Kyrie ever played, I don't know how much of a debate that's even up for, IT4 was a good bit better by every metric.
If IT4 played the past 3 seasons with Lebron and Kyrie did not, everyone would assume Thomas was better, I'm fairly certain of that.
I view them as virtually equal just in terms of actual on court play, at the very worst, Kyrie is very slightly better.
When you throw in Crowder into the mix, I think Boston just got worse for this next season. When you throw in the draft pick, I don't know what Boston was thinking.
