amazing how little media coverage this has got.
Why should it? It means dick. I mean if a DIII team goes undefeated, do we get upset at media coverage of that?

Woulda been nice to see an ND-OSU game though.

yeah, that makes no sense since, ya know, they are playing DI teams every week. the only reason it means nothing is because they are ineligible to play in the postseason. they aren't ineligible to be ranked, they should be #1 or #2. the games all still count for the teams they are playing, its not like they are scrims.
you've been angry lately. smile fella.

Sorry you take my opposition to your view as angry. Why should it get more coverage? It means zero to what matters.

it should get more coverage because they have had the best season of any team in the country.
its like saying if i don't technically enter a marathon then i run it anyways and beat the whole field that my performance isn't noteworthy... of course it is still worthy of talking about it even tho my time doesn't count.
like i said earlier, every game they've played has mattered just as much as it would have if they were eligible to the opponent they were playing. them going 12-0 this season and last season is exactly the same. its the same accomplishment. the only difference is they are now ineligible to go on further. if you don't think thats noteworthy and should be talked about it then we can disagree.

Agree to disagree. It didn't matter IMO they got 0-12 is same as going 12-0 when you are not eligible to play for a title.

so those games they played were exhibitions... the others teams weren't trying?
obviously the outcome of 12-0 is pointless since they can't play for the championship... thats not debateable. but their accomplishment of going 12-0 is exactly the same as any other team in the history of the sport going 12-0

Awesome for them. Why would media waste coverage on this team more than they already are again? No pressure on them either way when you have nothing to play for. Hats off to CUM for getting his team up every week with that fact in their face very game but seriously why waste coverage when in the grand scheme it means zero?

because when ND loses tonight they are going to have claim to having the best season in the entire country.
the dude who scored 138 points in a diii hoops game got more coverage than them being the best team in the country.

Riccio. I think you are misunderstanding me. Is it awesome for a team to go 12-0? Yes. Good for them. Do I think it matters if they can't play for it all? Hell no. Tulane going undefeated back with Bowden was awesome but do I think he should get more attention for it? Nope. AU went undefeated in 93 on probation. Good for them. Means Zero in the big picture. So why waste coverage?

Could be. Guess they should not have been on probation.

their probation is some arbitrary decision made by some governing body. its all bullshit and doesn't change what they are doing now.
its not like they are cheating in these games.
they should be given more respect, thats all i'm saying.

You are switching arguments. More respect or media coverage? Any team that goes undefeated gets my respects. Doesn't mean they should steal media coverage from others that deserve it since they aren't on probation.

i'm not changing any argument.
they should be ranked #1 or #2 in the polls and they should be talked about as one of the best teams in the country. respect, coverage, whatever

OSU can still win the AP championship. Not sure how that is not newsworthy.

They should be. They ain't though cause they broke NCAA rules. Hate that for OSU but that's the breaks. They could have not gone to a bowl last year but chose to wait till this year. That's on them.

but they are ranked like 5th in a poll. its not like they aren't ranked at all in one of those polls

If they are ineligible to play for a title, what's the point to rank in the top 2?
