whats the point of ranking them at all?
if you're going to rank them, rank them the way they should be ranked.

Flip side of your argument. If you can cheat and get ranked ( more respect and coverage) why run a clean program?

No top teams run clean programs.

Agree. And when they get caught. Pay the price and move on.

then cancel their season. if they are playing the games like everyone else, they should be critiqued like everyone else until the point they aren't eligible to play anymore. they aren't cheating to win these games, they are going to pay their price now which is where the penalty comes into play.
they are playing football games, they are winning the football games. all the other stuff is subjective.
what if they just decided to fine the team a million bucks and they let them play. it doesn't change anything in terms of the games and the results. its just how they decided to penalize them. if they did that they'd be in the national title game. obviously they aren't and thats all heresay... but they deserve to be ranked #1 or #2 and should be talked about as one of the best teams this year...because they were.

Agree to disagree about all I can say riccio. You have gone to a place I am not willing to go to prove what I am saying nor do I care enough to debate it really.

Riccio. Do the mets have a chance to win to World Series realistically? No. Do they need to cancel the season then? No that's fucking stupid to say. There are 1000 other reasons to play for but if you can't play for a title don't think you should get more coverage or respect than the ones that can. Do you see my side? I totally see yours I just disagree with it sorry you see that as me being angry but what can I say?

i'm replying to each of you comments individually.
you said if you are going to reward them by ranking them high then there is no penalty for cheating.
my reply was they are ranking them already... if what you're saying is true then they either shouldn't play the games or shouldn't rank them at all.
you know whats stupid? ranking them 5th or whatever they were at this week.
and i dont think you're angry anymore.... just that first reply seemed a lil froggy

Who is ranking them? Not the BCS. If its the AP then that's fine and all but doesn't factor in to the BCS.

Just ticking me off that the conversation changes to ensure it benefits certain teams. Rant over for now.

What can I saw, I lost track of the turnovers. Gators sophomore QB making better choices than the Noles (RS) senior QB. Manuel has had some good moments, but I will not miss him and his fetish for holding the ball and taking needless sacks. Congrats to the Gators, the took a gut shot in the 3rd quarter and just shrugged it off.

But Florida State is back!!!!! Again!!!
I hate Florida more than fsu but man maybe this will shut some of those fsu fans up until they are back again next year
(pengy, Oracle, and nole excluded, more the idiots I went to school with but they don't read the boards so never mind)

I can't believe Notre Dame is going to the championship game.
Impressive job by Kelly. No huge names besides tao and they just are really consistent.
Bama beats em by 2 tds+ though Imo.
Bama is - 9 opening line

I hope bama gets there. Bama/nd championship game would be huge for the older fan base. I personally wanna see it since bama hasn't played them in 25 years.

Freshman QB as well.
Even as a fan, I don't think that ND is the best team in the country... I've got 3 games off of the top of my head that they should have lost. But, I think they win the national title. Call me crazy, but I watched Kelly first hand @ UC and was thrilled when he went to ND, his teams have a way of winning tight games.
Also, as an Ohio State hater... I never did agree with the penalties that were handed down and I'm firm believer that ESPN played as big a part in all of that as anything else. (long story, not going into, just trace the events with the Big 10 contract during the time leading up) OSU should be playing ND for the title this year.
The good news for both programs is that they have excellent coaches and tons of talent still on the teams after this season, so that national title matchup might happen in the next few years anyway.

Max Wittek is no joke. USC just reloads at QB.
