Re: NFL Thread
Longevity matters but he's definitely surpoased Rodgers for playing the position at the highest level we've ever seen for a sustained time.
I guess the way I'd rank players though I wouldn't put him in the top 5 as I'd take 20 years of Brady at his level over 5 years of Mahomes at his level. Same for Manning/Rodgers/Brees and I'm sure others.
But these 5 years of Mahomes are certainly better than 5 years of any QB ever.

Serious question, if Russ doesn't figure it out, is his Seattle career enough for the Hall of Fame?

Going in to this last weekend teams who were -2 in turnover differential and scored 10 points or fewer were 0-206 since 1995 until the Broncos lost to the Ravens. Mr. Unliiiiiimited.

Re: NFL Thread
If the Saints hadn't had that late game meltdown against the Bucs, the entire NFC South would all be 5-8.
Beast of a conference!!

Re: NFL Thread
That was the funniest play I’ve ever seen. Likely a playoff swinging loss too. Just unbelievable

Re: NFL Thread
Schefter reporting/speculating it looks like one of two options for the Bills Bengals game.
1) AFC Championship will be played at a neutral site
or
2) 1 seed will get to choose either HFA or bye. 2 seed gets whatever 1 seed does not pick.

If the Bills and Chiefs win then who is the #1 seed? Both have the same amount of losses, Chiefs have 1 more win and Bills have head to head winWasted Memory wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 3:25 pm Schefter reporting/speculating it looks like one of two options for the Bills Bengals game.

Re: NFL Thread
I'd assume it'd go by winning percentage so the Chiefs would take it.

Re: NFL Thread
Not a fan of the NFL or any team so I have zero to gain as a fan. But from the outside looking in, giving a team with a better winning percentage when they haven't played the same amount of games because of a fluke/near deadly injury just doesn't pass the sniff test to me. Especially when they have a head to head matchup.Wasted Memory wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 4:53 pm I'd assume it'd go by winning percentage so the Chiefs would take it.
I honestly think that the NFL has been waiting to see what happens this weekend to make the decision. If one of them lose and the other wins then the argument is mute (packsyism). But then it opens up the debate for who is the #2/#3 seed if one them lose and Cincinnati wins.

Re: NFL Thread
Much like the Davonte Adams push, there's really not a suspension length they could hand out that I'd think is too much.
Don't care that it's just a shove, you don't put your hands on medical staff or people who aren't playing in the game.
Adams didn't receive any suspension so I suspect the same. But I'd guess if Adams got 3 or 4 games, the odds that this would have happened would be greatly reduced. But if no suspension is likely, we can expect this to keep happening until a player goes a bit too far.

Re: NFL Thread
#95 for the Packers needs disciplined too. He came over like, what you want!
You can tell the dude is in plain clothes and he is clearly medical staff, trainer, something not a threat to them as players.
Not like some random fan ran onto the field.
