They said that about women centuries ago. It was impolite to curse around women - not children - because they thought they needed to be protected from society; keep their innocence. That view changed. So will this one about kids ... I hope. In fact, (male) children were subjected and taught about such innocent things like war, weaponry, sex, hunting, profanity, and other "dangerous" activities while women - adult and children alike - were kept sheltered. "Oh, but children don't know any better!" That's what they thought about females. Terrible isn't it? The purposeful sheltering of knowledge from a person you love.

You know what it is, Dave? It has nothing to do with innocence. Politeness. Or even integrity. It has everything to do with reflection. Parents are a vain sort, concerned almost as much with how their children reflect on them as much as they do how the child is raised. They are little extensions of the parent; not too far removed from, say, a car. An item. Our teachers in this forum probably just grinned in agreement.

And, to stay on topic, they did review that call and Tennessee won.

5. Boise State

Had Boise State not lost, Oregon's loss would have likely impacted Louisiana State's schedule (and, presumably, Alabama's slightly; I can't be sure) and there wouldn't have been much space between the three.
