True, but I wonder at what price.

A few of those rule 5 guys you got are super young and definitely don't appear to be MLB ready.

True, but I don't put too much stock into that.

I'm near the bottom at -4.8, almost all of that coming from Hill and Olson.

Hill and Olson were asking for something like a combined $56million per year. I don't think 4 wins is worth $56mil for a 68 win team.

It's still a cool feature and definitely something to check out though.

Are these rankings by our own scouts, so they're different for everyone?

Because after Rule 5, you definitely moved up. You went, according to my game(which is why I ask the above question) from 12th to 5th.

But like I said, we'll find out at what price. You definitely nabbed some guys with solid potentials. The only worry is that their clock has started super early, and I guess that they can also stunt their growth(not sure if that works in the game) by being called up so early.

And I'm just assuming they're not ready. They could be, but I suspect a couple of them are not ready at all, they're super young and all potential at this point.

The system reports are based on potentials by OSA.

Wow, just a brutal day for Sheltown. My prospects for next season just took a huge hit.

2 guys I went after signed with other teams. Both guys signed for contracts with sightly more guaranteed, despite my total potential contracts being more than double the other teams.

One guy took $18mil guaranteed on a $24mil possible deal, when I was offering $15mil guaranteed and an $86mil possible deal. Guess he has no confidence in himself.

2 years guaranteed at $15.5mil total, something like $6mil then $9mil

3rd and 4th year were team options which I was fully ready to pay if he performed well in the neighborhood of $15 and $18mil. Then monster incentives for hitter of the year and All Star. Granted, he wasn't hitting $86mil, but a couple of solid seasons, maybe 1 AS game, and he was hitting $50-60mil.

But he opted for the extra $3mil...and more importantly, staying away from Sheltown.

I don't know how detailed the computer AI gets in evaluating those variations in the contract.

Or, you needed a guy that was greedier so he would be enticed by the extra money and overlook the fact that he couldn't get it.

I've started avoiding offering team options with no buyout money. Throw a half-mil in there as the buy-out on a team option and see if that helps (it did when I was doing stuff in my non-NDL, offline game).

Yeah, I'm not too sure the AI totally evaluates those deals. I know some of ya'lls chins dropped on Usami's contract but is severely front loaded. I think $23 mil the first year but WAY lower in succeeding years. With options and bonus' that I don't think will happen unless he pitches lights out.
