Picked #4 in a 12 team league non PPR. Only one guy on auto. Nothing outstanding but I think ill have a consistent team and wont be blowing out anyone. Average score in the league in the past has been around 100-105 per week. Didn't get my QBs until 6th and 7th rounds.

yeah...it went McCoy, Peterson, Charles then Lacy... I was hoping Charles would drop but didn't get a chance.
Don't think Lacy is a solid #1?

I didn't see that it was non PPR. I have Forte higher than him, but non Ppr I suppose they're pretty close tho

Assuming Gordons suspension is reduced, what's the most games he can be out where you'd still feel comfortable with having him?
For example, if he's banned for 8 games, is it worth grabbing and holding onto him?

Cool. Because I'm a rookie I said screw it and claimed him.
I had the last pick in the draft so I have top priority on waivers. Not sure if having top priority means I should have saved it on something that isn't a possible Longshot though.

if you can't pick him up now and your league does waivers like that, you can unsubmit the waiver claim if they don't reduce/drop it by sunday.

I submitted the claim and it said I would know by tomorrow. So I guess I just go through with it?
Why not!

i dont know why it would run tomorrow, that seems odd.
waivers would normally run after the first full week. so they would run on like tuesday.
in terms of using the #1 waiver spot on him, if you need to know by tomorrow, thats a tougher call. there is certainly value in having the first opportunity to pick up a guy who benefits from an injury. in week 1 you also get the first look at teams so guys come out of nowhere and have bigger roles than expected.

Had Crabtree in the flex spot.
I heard he was questionable, so I benched him and chose Maclin over Cooks. Doh!

I was offered Hakeem Nicks for Mark Ingram. I'm not big on Ingram since the Saints split carries so much usually. In general, I'd probably prefer Nicks.
But admittedly, I don't know much about Nicks nowadays, and moreso, stashing Josh Gordon as well as possibly getting a hidden gem in Brandin Cooks to go with Roddy White and AJ Green, I probably don't need another WR, correct?

Forgot to mention, my 1st every fantasy game, week 1...I'm up 160-120. My opponent is done, and I still have Stafford left. The league high is 171, so in my 1st week ever i'll have the most points.
This shit's easy!!!

If you have a pretty good defense, is it standard to keep them all year, or is it understood that most, if not all, teams rotate defenses here and there based on matchups?
I ask because I have KC's defense, I figure they're a solid defense to have for the entire season...but KC plays @ DEN this week, and I got an alert on the Yahoo Fantasy Football app letting me know a lot of teams are dropping KC, so I'm just wondering what's the usual play in these types of situations.

you wouldn't play any D vs Denver.
you're better off finding a matchup play.
certain D's like Seattle you can roll with in most matchups, but other than them you can hold onto KC if you like their D and then any time you don't like the matchup you rotate to a free agent.
if your league is really competitive, you should look into the weeks ahead if you know KC has a tough matchup and lock in good matchups early.
in our league we have rules on the amount of D's you can carry as guys will stock 2 D's on their bench for the playoffs very early in the season.
